A terror alert has been issued for Virginia and Washington D.C.
Specifically, malls in Virginia appear to be the most likely targets.
The threat?
Officials fear that ISIS cells may have been activated in northern Virginia.
It is also believed that this is likely related to the Afghan refugees that were brought to the United States after Biden’s botched withdrawal.
In a statement, officials said that they believe that this threat from ISIS will last through the holidays.
But…
Things were so bad that they warned about an attack in as little as 72 hours.

Few days before an election and there's an ISIS threat? Wow!

It is unclear if the ISIS threat is connected specifically before the Virginia election.
However, the timing cannot be ignored.
The threat is in Northern Virginia, which is the area closest to Washington DC.
The Hill reports:
Police in the Northern Virginia area are bolstering security around Halloween weekend amid a potential threat that could be linked to ISIS, several news outlets reported.
Multiple intelligence and law enforcement sources told ABC News that the threat to shopping centers in the region was linked to intelligence that could be related to ISIS, though an assessment of the information’s credibility was still underway.
“We have no comment. However, we would remind you the FBI takes all potential threats to public safety seriously and we take all appropriate steps to determine the credibility of any information we receive,” the FBI said in a statement in response to inquiries about the news reports.
Law enforcement from several Virginia counties, including Fairfax County, Arlington County, Loudoun County and Prince William County, said they would be increasing their police presence this weekend, though no officials confirmed reports that a possible threat could be linked to ISIS.
On Friday, Fairfax County Police Department Chief Kevin Davis told reporters that “information concerning potential public safety impacts” to shopping centers and malls and that they would be increasing security to shopping malls and plazas, thoroughfares, and transit hubs.
Keep in mind that ISIS was no longer a threat when Donald Trump was president.
Yet…
Just 10 months with Biden in office, ISIS is not only a threat globally, but within our very borders!
Several of my friends in the DC/NOVA area just received this email regarding an ISIS threat: pic.twitter.com/7KrJIk1zjs

While it is believed that mall may be targeted, officials admitted that it was an “unspecified” ISIS threat.
USA Today has more details about what authorities are saying:
Authorities in the Northern Virginia region are on alert going into the Halloween weekend after suburban DC authorities were alerted to a potential threat, possibly linked to ISIS, to retail centers, a law enforcement official said Saturday.
The credibility of the threat was still being assessed, but local authorities were notified out of an abundance of caution, said the official who is not authorized to comment publicly.
One senior law enforcement official with access to the intelligence reporting said that it was considered a very real threat to Virginia, specifically shopping malls in the Fredericksburg, Virginia, area, about 50 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.
“We are all over that,” in terms of alerting local, state and federal authorities in order to take appropriate cautions, he said.
But the law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss the ongoing investigation, said new intelligence that came in on Saturday indicated that the threat was not as significant or concrete as the initial information suggested.
“What I’m getting now is that it was a legitimate threat to Virginia specifically Fredericksburg, but that as of late this morning some of the higher side reporting is tamping down that threat,” the official said, explaining that the “higher side” reporting is what comes from super-secret sources and methods that cannot be shared with anyone without a top security clearance who is in a secure location to receive it.
“The especially sensitive reporting that the public wouldn’t hear is dampening down the threat. So it is not as concerning today as it was yesterday or two days before,” he said.
A Fredericksburg police department dispatcher had no comment on the threat intelligence and referred calls to the department’s spokesperson, who did not immediately return a message requesting comment.
The operations manager for the largest mall in the Fredericksburg area, Spotsylvania Towne Centre, declined to give his name but said mall personnel had been made aware of the threat and were responding accordingly.
On Friday, several police departments in the Northern Virginia region – which include some of the most densely populated communities in the Washington suburbs – said they were increasing police presence around shopping centers.
We are now seeing the real life consequences of leftist policies.
Under President Trump, we had law and order.
We also had peace in the Middle East.
Yet… the man with the “most experience” brings us a DOMESTIC ISIS terror threat within the first 10 months of his term.
Scary.
Let’s hope the rest of the term isn’t as eventful.
