January 6th Protestor Dies Awaiting Trial

Our hearts and prayers go out to Mrs. Anderson, and the Anderson family.

John Anderson passed away at the age of 61 on September 21st 2021, still facing charges relating to the January 6th protests.

His cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

The charges facing Anderson included civil disorder, interfering with law enforcement, and stealing ‘government property’.

A U.S. military veteran who was charged in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol breach has died.

John Anderson, 61, died at a hospital on Sept. 21 in Jacksonville, Florida, according to family members and his lawyer. His cause of death has not been disclosed.

“My sweet, handsome husband went home to be with the Lord,” Anderson’s wife said, according to his lawyer, Marina Medvin.

Anderson’s wife is asking for prayers and privacy as she mourns the loss.

John Anderson, a St. Augustine man who was arrested on the day of the riot at the U.S. Capitol, went before a federal judge for a second day in a row Friday.

Anderson, 61, is accused of unlawful entry into the Capitol. A judge Friday ordered him held on a $25,000 bond and he was later released from jail. The judge restricted his travel to the Middle District of Florida and he can’t travel to D.C. unless it’s for court.
