A staff error?
As many of you already know, 135 Republicans betrayed our trust, and voted against one of our nation’s most sacred rights, at a time when we see tyranny rearing its ugly head in the once great nation of Australia.
There were a lot of surprising names on the list of GOP politicians who voted for the bill, but now Matt Gaetz has come out to say this:
The Red Flag inclusion was a staff error. Both sides agree it’s coming out.
Drafting women is a terrible idea & is coming out too.
TONS of good in this bill to win great power competition & end forever wars – good #AmericaFirst policy.
Final bill won’t have these poison pills https://t.co/HxONrfycj2

Personally, I have a lot of questions.
I know what I just read, it’s in plain english, but is he serious?
“Both sides” are going to pull this, and the female draft provision from the bill? He is saying that both Democrats and Republicans are agreeing to take these measures out of the bill, right?
Historically speaking gun rights have never really had bipartisan agreement…….
I hope he is telling the truth because either way we will know, but how could something so serious come down to a simple “staff error”? Do these people not read the bills they are supposed to be signing?
Representatives, pundits, and concerned citizens all voiced their disgust and disagreement with the bill:
Many Republicans will vote for the #NDAA today. They shouldn’t.
The 🚩Red Flag law is terrible. But even worse, it gives @SecDef Austin the power to label troops as “extremists” & remove them from the military.
How is “extremist” defined? It isn't. It's totally up to Austin. pic.twitter.com/3x7dvzs8sL

American Military News reports:
A provision in the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act would allow military courts to issue protective orders that include “Red Flag” gun confiscation, according to the more than 1,300-page bill.
In the legislation, those beholden to the United States Code of Military Justice could be issued a “military court protective order” by a military judge or magistrate, which would make “possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm” illegal.

Incompetent Congress admits that they didn’t even read the bill before they voted in favor of the Red Flag Law provision.
The lip service spin we’re getting from Republicans now is just damage control. We know what they have done.

The problem w the republicans: this bill has red flag 🚩 law in it. It also gives Sec Austin the power to remove “extremist“ from the military.
