Mainstream Media Files Formal Complaint Against Biden for Running Away from Questions

It appears the honeymoon period is over.

The White House press pool has filed a formal complaint against Joe Biden.

Why?

Because Joe Biden continuously walks away and refuses to answer their questions.

It’s called transparency.

It’s called integrity.

Love him or hate him, President Trump had no problem facing the press.

He answered all of their questions and never shied away from them.

But Biden?

He has continuously run away from the press.

Well, those days might be over.

Of course, most members of the mainstream media will try to protect Biden at all costs.

So don’t be surprised if this formal complaint goes nowhere.

However, it’s a clear sign that Biden’s coalition is falling apart.

The Daily Wire confirms:

The White House press pool filed a formal complaint against Democrat President Joe Biden for refusing to answer questions from American media about the multiple crises that have erupted under his regime.

The complaint came as Biden met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the Oval Office, which comes after Biden angered the British with his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan.

“[President] Biden and British PM [Boris Johnson] meet to discuss pandemic, trade and other issues,” CBS News reporter Ed O’Keefe tweeted. “Johnson took 3 questions. White House aides shouted down U.S. attempts to ask questions. I asked Biden about southern border and we couldn’t decipher what he said.”

White House Correspondents’ Association President Steven Portnoy said in a statement that he filed a formal complaint over the incident to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

“The entire editorial component of the U.S. pool went immediately into Jen Psaki’s office to register a formal complaint that no American reporters were recognized for questions in the president’s Oval Office, and that wranglers loudly shouted over the president as he seemed to give an answer to Ed O’Keefe’s question about the situation at the Southern Border,” the statement said. “Biden’s answer could not be heard over the shouting.”

“Psaki was unaware that the incident had occurred, and suggested that she was not in a position to offer an immediate solution,” the statement continued.

Portnoy requested that Biden hold a formal press conference as a makeup for continuing to ignore reporters’ questions, which is a common occurrence from Biden, and Psaki responded by claiming that Biden “takes questions several times a week.”

Why is it that Biden and his handlers are so afraid for the press?

Remember… most of the press in this country is left-wing.

They are Biden’s allies.

Why are they so afraid of Biden speaking in front of his friends in the media?

What are they trying to hide?

Biden promised transparency.

Yet Biden has appeared to be in hiding ever since his term started.

If this were President Trump, we all know that the media would be complaining.

The Left would be creating conspiracy theories about Trump.

Yet… they appear to all be ignoring Biden’s habit of walking away from tough questions.

The Hill confirms the formal complaint against Joe:

Members of the White House press pool lodged a complaint with the White House after British reporters but not American reporters were recognized for questions during President Biden’s meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday afternoon.

White House Correspondents’ Association President Steve Portnoy, who served as the radio pooler on Tuesday, said that the editorial component of the pool went to White House press secretary Jen Psaki to lodge a formal complaint on Tuesday about the lack of questions granted to American reporters.

Biden and Johnson each delivered brief remarks in the Oval Office. Johnson then granted questions to two British reporters, who asked about the case of Harry Dunn, the British teen killed in a crash in the United Kingdom (U.K.) two years ago, and trade. White House aides then ushered the press out of the Oval Office without Biden calling on American reporters.

In response to a shouted question from CBS News’s Ed O’Keefe about the situation at the U.S. southern border, Biden responded in part that “violence is not justified,” but the remainder of his comments were indecipherable over shouts from White House aides trying to get reporters out of the Oval Office.

The Biden administration has withstood scrutiny after images and video circulated showing Customs and Border Protection agents on horseback chasing Haitian migrants at the border. Vice President Harris condemned the treatment in brief remarks to reporters earlier Tuesday, saying that human beings “should never be treated that way.”

Biden occasionally takes questions from reporters at the end of speeches or other public engagements, but he has not held a press conference in several weeks.

Biden and Johnson met to discuss security cooperation and other issues, following their appearance at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) earlier in the day.

“I made clear that climate has to be the core area of action for all of us,” Biden said during brief remarks before reporters were ushered out, adding that his administration plans to attend the upcoming U.N. Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in November.

“We’re going to be there,” Biden said.

Will this formal complaint change anything?

We doubt it.

But it is the clearest signal yet that Biden’s honeymoon with the mainstream media is over.

If he thought the first 9 months was hard, he’s in for a rude awakening.
