Don’t want to say we told you so, but…….
I recently did some digging and found some old reports of dire warnings from someone with previous experience working with Afghan refugees…..
Now some of those dire warnings may become a reality.
According to recent reports, The U.S. is now investigating alleged cases of child brides among Afghan refugees……
This is a common practice in some parts of the world—including Afghanistan and Pakistan.
So it looks like they aren’t vetting any of these people properly, and now the sexual predatory issues are coming into focus front and center.
Europe dealt with this several years ago, and now it looks like we are going to have to deal with it as well:
Confirmed: State Department requested “urgent guidance'' over possible child bride cases among Afghan escapees. Staff at Fort McCoy reported “multiple cases'' of girls said to be married to adult Afghan men. First reported by @APDiploWriter

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that you aren’t “racist” or a “fear monger” for not wanting a pedophilic Afghan man with a child bride or a potential terrorist coming to your hometown.@AdamKinzinger is wrong. As per always.

CBS News reports:
CBS News has learned that “several” Afghan women and girls who were evacuated to facilities in the United Arab Emirates have told officials that their families forced them into marriage outside of the Kabul airport so that they could be eligible for evacuation.
A senior State Department official said authorities are taking the claims seriously and investigating. Human trafficking is a federal crime and also illegal in every state. It is not clear how the U.S. would handle the case of an Afghan evacuee found guilty of child trafficking.
Americans surprised by reports of Afghan child bride sex trafficking will be horrified when they find out what happens to little boys.

The Associated Press had more details:
One internal document seen by The Associated Press says the State Department has sought “urgent guidance” from other agencies after purported child brides were brought to Fort McCoy in Wisconsin.
Another document, described to the AP by officials familiar with it, says Afghan girls at a transit site in Abu Dhabi have alleged they have been raped by older men they were forced to marry in order to escape Afghanistan.
The State Department had no immediate comment on the documents or the veracity of the details in them.
