Australian Police Arrest Over 250 Anti-Lockdown Protestors in Australia on Saturday

The tyrannical Australian government is out of control.

Many brave Aussies have been standing up to the COVID lockdowns, but Australian police are cracking down.

Over 250 anti-lockdown protestors were arrested on Saturday alone.

Police in Melbourne and Sydney have become increasingly aggressive against protestors.

This comes in spite of the fact that the active COVID infections in the country are relatively low.

Here's the terrifying story from AP News:

More than 250 people who were protesting coronavirus lockdowns in Australia were arrested Saturday and many faced fines for defying health orders, authorities said.

At least seven police officers were treated for injuries after skirmishes broke out at some of the protests, which took place in multiple cities nationwide. The largest and most violent protest was in Melbourne. Many were organized by people in encrypted online chat groups.

Sydney has been in lockdown for two months, while Melbourne and the capital, Canberra, went into lockdown earlier this month. Under the rules of the lockdown, people are mostly confined to their homes and have limits placed on their social interactions.

Despite those measures, Sydney’s New South Wales state reported a record 825 new daily community infections on Saturday. Several cities are battling outbreaks of the highly contagious delta variant.

Protestors say the lockdowns should end, but authorities say they are necessary to suppress the spread of the virus and save lives.

In Melbourne, a crowd of about 4,000 mostly unmasked protesters let off flares, yelled and blasted music in the central city. Victoria state police arrested 218 people and issued more than 200 fines, each for more than 5,400 Australian dollars ($3,850).

The situation in Australia is spiraling out of control as the government continues pushing more tyrannical lockdowns on its citizens despite low infection rates.

Reuters with more:

"We are in a very serious situation here in New South Wales," said state Health Minister Brad Hazzard. "There is no time now to be selfish, it's time to think of the broader community and your families."

Police patrolled Sydney's streets and blocked private and public transport into the city centre to reduce the number of people gathering at an unauthorised protest.

In Melbourne, the country's second-most populous city, a large crowd managed to march and some clashed with police, after state Premier Daniel Andrews expanded a city lockdown to the entire state.

Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton had earlier warned people to stay away from the protest, adding it was "just ridiculous to think that people would be so selfish and come and do this."

Several hundred people also protested peacefully in Brisbane, which is not in lockdown.

Just 7% of Australians support the often-violent protests, according to a late-July poll by market research firm Utting Research.

Compliance with public health rules has been one of the key cited reasons behind Australia's success, relative to other rich countries, in managing the pandemic. But the country has been struggling to rein in the third wave of infections that began in Sydney in mid-June.

Australia has had about 43,000 COVID-19 cases and 978 deaths. But while those numbers are low, only about a third of Australians aged 16 and above have been fully vaccinated, according to federal health ministry data released on Saturday.

The tyranny of the Australian government is unacceptable.

Citizens aren't even allowed to go out for fresh air.

Australians are fighting back.

A man who has been deemed as the 'Australian William Wallace' encouraged citizens to keep resisting.

While riding a horse, he told citizens to cross over the border, yelling:

"They cannot arrest all of us."

Pray for Australia.

Remember that what is occuring there now could also occur elsewhere.
