New Zealand Plunges Into NATIONWIDE Lockdown – Due to ONE COVID-19 Case

Totalitarianism is on full display in New Zealand.

The island nation has isolated itself from the world and determined to achieve “Zero COVID.”

It’s a similar approach to the open-air prison system we’re witnessing in Australia.

But there’s one problem with “Zero COVID.”

It’s a fantasy and unachievable.

Common sense science tells us that viruses frequently mutate, thus COVID-19 will always be with us.

“Zero COVID” is an excuse for wannabe dictators to steal more power from the people.

If Kiwis don’t put their foot down, the remainder of their lives will be a continuous state of rolling lockdowns.

Power-hungry Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced the latest New Zealand lockdown.

And this latest lockdown is due to ONE COVID-19 case.

Don’t you dare speak to your neighbors.

Don’t you dare congregate.

The deadly Delta can spread by walking past one another (an insidious lie).

That’s the speech from a tyrant attempting to control a population through fear and subversion.

How long will Kiwis tolerate this madness?

However, some people beg for rolling lockdowns and their own enslavement.

Who wants to tell him that COVID-19 will never go away?

Whenever you open things up, some cases will occur.

It’s inevitable and Zero-COVID is a dictator’s fantasy to control their population.

From NPR:

New Zealand’s government took drastic action Tuesday by putting the entire nation into a strict lockdown for at least three days after finding a single case of coronavirus infection in the community.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern invoked some of the stirring rhetoric she used early in the pandemic by urging the “team of 5 million” — New Zealand’s population — to go hard and early in trying to eliminate the latest outbreak.

“We have seen what happens elsewhere if we fail to get on top of it,” Ardern said. “We only get one chance.”

She said Auckland, where the infected man lives, and Coromandel, where he had visited, would go into a full lockdown for seven days and the remainder of the country for three days while health experts tried to find the source of his infection.

The developments prompted people to line up outside supermarkets to stock up on essential items and sparked a sharp drop in the value of the New Zealand dollar.

The country has been struggling to fully vaccinate its people

New Zealand had managed to stamp out the virus, and the last outbreak was in February. But Ardern had been warning that the contagiousness of the delta variant would likely require more drastic action than previous outbreaks.

New Zealand has also been slower than other developed nations to inoculate its population, leaving it vulnerable to outbreaks. Only 32% of people have had at least one shot and 18% are fully vaccinated.

And officials have been viewing a growing outbreak in nearby Sydney with alarm, saying they don’t want to make the same mistakes by waiting too long to impose strict measures.

Summit News also reported:

“Auckland and Coromandel – a coastal town where the infected person also spent time – will be in lockdown for seven days,” reports Sky News.

New Zealand will now be placed under its first full national lockdown for the first time since the original lockdown over a year ago.

Schools, offices, businesses, and all other “non-essential” venues will now all be shut down, with citizens only allowed outside to exercise, buy food and seek emergency medical treatment.

“Delta has been a game-changer, we’re responding to that,” said Ardern. “The best thing we can do to get out of this as quickly as we can is to go hard.”

Like its neighbor Australia, New Zealand continues to pursue a controversial ‘zero COVID’ policy that necessitates continuous draconian lockdowns with no end in sight.

As we highlighted last year, New Zealand announced that they will put all new coronavirus infectees and their close family members in “quarantine facilities.”

Ardern warned people who refused to take COVID-19 tests that they would simply be held in the facilities until they complied.

New Zealand has registered 2,926 cases and just 26 coronavirus deaths since the pandemic began.
