BREAKING: House Republicans Move to “Vacate” Pelosi’s Chair, End “Authoritarian Reign”

Well, at least we know 45 Republicans who have a backbone.

The House Freedom Caucus has taken a bold stance against Nancy Pelosi today.

They made an official move to “vacate” Nancy Pelosi’s chair and end her “authoritarian reign.”

The Caucus published a letter to Kevin McCarthy.

They are making the case to remove her under Rule IX, Clause 3 of the Rules of the House of Representatives.

Read the letter below:

Removing Pelosi as Speaker would certainly slow down Joe Biden’s destruction of America.

It would bring down the House and throw Congress into turmoil.

While Democrats would say that’s a bad thing, it would slow radical leftists down from passing unpopular or unConstitutional legislation.

The New York Post appears to confirm that an official move is being made against Pelosi due to her January 6th lies:

Members of the House Freedom Caucus are calling on Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to use a procedural tactic to remove Speaker Nancy Pelosi from her leadership post, citing her decision to block Reps. Jim Banks and Jim Jordan from the Jan. 6 select committee.

In a letter sent to McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Friday, the conservative group accused Pelosi (D-Calif.) of holding “an authoritarian reign” over the lower chamber, arguing her recent actions warrant moving forward with vacating the chair.

“We, the House Freedom Caucus, respectfully request that you pursue the authorization of the House Republican Conference, pursuant to Conference rules, to file and bring up a privileged motion by July 31, 2021, to vacate the chair and end Nancy Pelosi’s authoritarian reign as Speaker of the House,” they wrote.

“Rule IX, Clause 3 of the Rules of the House of Representatives for the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress requires that ‘A resolution causing a vacancy in the Office of Speaker shall not be privileged except if offered by direction of a party caucus or conference.’”

Republicans have been highly critical of Pelosi’s rejection of Banks (R-Ind.) and Jordan (R-Ohio), two of former President Donald Trump’s strongest allies in Congress, alleging it proves the panel is politically motivated. Pelosi announced the ouster of the two McCarthy choices for the committee — which is tasked with investigating the deadly siege on the Capitol when pro-Trump rioters attempted to disrupt the certification of the election — on Wednesday.

Banks was McCarthy’s choice to be the top Republican on the panel as the ranking member.

The committee — led by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) — also pointed to Pelosi’s decision to extend proxy voting initially put in place at the start of the pandemic and require members to walk through magnetometers before entering the chamber as examples of what they feel are abuses of power.

“Speaker Pelosi’s tenure is destroying the House of Representatives and our ability to faithfully represent the people we are here to serve. Speaker Pelosi has championed unconstitutional changes like allowing proxy voting and insulting security measures like metal detectors for Members coming to the floor to vote,” the letter says.

“Less easily reversible is the damage done to the institution by the Leadership of one party dictating the ability of Members of another party to serve in roles at the discretion of their own conference. That abuse cannot go unchecked. Speaker Pelosi’s refusal to seat Rep. Jim Jordan and Rep. Jim Banks on the Select Committee to Investigate January 6 is intolerable.”

The timing of this letter is strange.

Keep in mind…

Many people have raised the possibility of President Trump becoming Speaker of the House.

Is the timing coincidence?

Or are there larger forces at work behind the scenes?

While the move is seen as a long-shot, it underscores the tensions in DC right now.

The two parties have never been more divided.

The Republicans want to restore American greatness and abide by the rule of the land: the Constitution.

But the Democrats appear to want to throw law and order out of the window.

No wonder Republicans are moving to oust Pelosi as Speaker!

The Hill confirms:

A bloc of House conservatives on Friday pressed Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to force a floor vote by next week to oust Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for blocking two Republicans from serving on the special committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Such a vote on what’s known as a “motion to vacate the chair” would be quickly rejected by Democrats, who control the majority, and some moderate Republicans.

But the one-page letter from the ultraconservative House Freedom Caucus represents a test for McCarthy, who likely will need Freedom Caucus support in his quest to secure 218 votes and become speaker if Republicans win back the House in 2022.

The group of conservative rabble-rousers, closely aligned with former President Trump, derailed McCarthy’s bid to be speaker in 2015, when Ohio Republican John Boehner abruptly resigned from the job after a Freedom Caucus leader threatened to force a similar floor vote to oust him from power.

“We, the House Freedom Caucus, respectfully request that you … bring up a privileged motion by July 31, 2021 to vacate the chair and Nancy Pelosi’s authoritarian reign as Speaker of the House,” the Freedom Caucus wrote to McCarthy.

A McCarthy spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In the letter, the Freedom Caucus also cited other reasons why Pelosi should be removed: She has allowed remote, proxy voting by lawmakers due to the coronavirus pandemic, and she had metal detectors installed at the entrances to the House floor after the Jan. 6 attack

“Speaker Pelosi’s tenure is destroying the House of Representatives and our ability to faithfully represent the people we are here to serve,” the group wrote.

But their main gripe was her decision this week to essentially veto two of McCarthy’s five GOP picks for the Jan. 6 select committee: Reps. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). Both are die-hard Trump loyalists and Jordan was the founding chairman of the Freedom Caucus. In response, a furious McCarthy said Republicans would boycott participating in the committee, which kicks off its first hearing Tuesday.

But Freedom Caucus leaders, led by Chairman Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), want McCarthy to get more aggressive with Pelosi and go further.

“Less easily reversible” than proxy voting and metal detectors “is the damage done to the institution by the Leadership of one party dictating the ability of members of another party to serve in roles at the discretion of their own conference,” the letter said. “That abuse cannot go unchecked.”

The Democrats have a reckoning coming.

Whether it happens this year, in 2022, or in 2024, the truth and the righteous will prevail!

In the meantime, we must do what we must to protect, defend, and preserve our Constitutional democratic republic!
