‘Why wasn’t there proper security?’ Rep. Jim Jordan Identifies Who is To Blame for January 6th Riots

Rep. Jim Jordan is a patriot. The reality is that regardless of who he offends, he’s willing to speak his mind and stand by his convictions.

He hasn’t been perfect, his support of Trump in the midst of the election wavered at times. Despite all of that, he flat-out refuses to be a puppet for anyone. Rep. Jordan can’t be controlled.

Because of this, Democrats fear him.

That’s why it came as no surprise when his nomination was rejected for the January 6th investigation committee.

Apparently, Pelosi who wants this committee to be based on transparency didn’t want Jim Jordan poking holes in her lack of transparency.

Rep. Jordan’s exclusion from the committee didn’t stop him from being very clear on who he feels is to blame for what happened on January 6th. The Daily Mail breaks down what he said during his sitdown with Tucker Carlson.

Rep. Jim Jordan has blamed Nancy Pelosi for allowing rioters to breach the Capitol on January 6, saying it was her responsibility as Speaker to have a proper security presence in place.

The Republican Congressman’s comments came after he and Jim Banks – both known Trump supporters – were rejected by Pelosi for serving on the special committee investigating the Capitol insurrection.

Rep. Jordan is asking the same question so many conservatives have asked since January.

‘The fundamental question is why wasn’t there a proper security posture that day? It wasn’t like we didn’t know there was a rally in town. It wasn’t like we didn’t know it would be a big rally, after all it was a President Trump rally,’ the Ohio representative told Fox’s Tucker Carlson on Wednesday.

When you look at the data regarding large gatherings over the years, it is clear that security during the Trump event was especially low.

In fact, prior to an event of that size, it is required to have a comprehensive security plan in place.

This plan usually contains considerations for high-value locations within the vicinity, including the Capital building.

In regards to the security lapse at the capital, Rep. Jordan did not pull any punches.

‘Why wasn’t there a proper security presence? That is a question that only the speaker of the United States House of Representatives can answer.’

‘My guess is the reason she didn’t have the proper presence there is because – think about what happened last year. The Democrats normalized anarchy.

‘They said oh, if you are a rioter or a looter, you are attacking police that we are defunding and you are destroying small business we are going to raise money to bail you out of jail.

‘So with that background, she couldn’t have the presence that you need that day.’

Boom. The blame rightfully belongs in the lap of the Democrats, primarily Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the House.

The reality is that the Left during 2020, normalized lawless behavior and anarchy. You don’t need to look any further than the nearly $2 billion in damages as a result of the riots in 2020.

Mayors and prosecutors of Democratic cities allowed most of those rioters and looters to go unpunished.

Don’t forget that Kamala even tweeted about raising funds to bail those looters and rioters out of jail.

It’s democrats that fostered the atmosphere for any wrongdoing that might have happened on January 6th to happen.

It also raises the reality that Nancy should have known what had the potential to happen on that day, and in some way, was banking on it to happen.

If this was her plan, she’s a genius. It gives her more ammunition to stump and distract Republicans from the main battleground agenda of the Left.

Of course, Nancy Pelosi has tried to shift the blame elsewhere.

Republicans have pushed the security question, trying to shift the focus of the riot to Democrats, who are focusing on Trump’s role.

Pelosi’s office has noted neither she nor Republican Senator Mitch McConnell, who was leader of the Senate on January 6th, were in charge of security operations.

‘I will say again the Speaker of the House is not in charge of the security of the U.S. Capitol Complex any more than former Senate Majority Leader McConnell was on 1/6,’ Pelosi spokesperson Drew Hammill wrote on Twitter.

Security in the Capitol is run by the US Capitol Police Board, which consists of the House Sergeant at Arms, the Senate Sergeant at Arms, the Architect of the Capitol, and the head of US Capitol Police.

What Nancy fails to mention is how in times where increased security measures are required or being considered, her office is informed.

It’s clear that Nancy didn’t want these kinds of questions being asked. Hence she used her power and position to exclude the very people who would have the courage to ask them.

Jordan told Carlson that he believes his nomination to the committee was rejected because ‘she just doesn’t want to answer that fundamental question or any other questions,’ referring to his question about having security in place.

Carlson agreed with Jordan, and added: ‘Immediately after January 6th, Pelosi called the army in, built a wall – ironically – around building for the Capitol police, her own Praetorian guard, et cetera. So she is clearly for law enforcement when they protect her.’

It’s clearly all about politics, not the truth.

As a result of all this drama and back and forth. House minority leader pulled all Republicans from the committee. He essentially took his ball and went home.

Probably not the best strategic move but you can appreciate the point he is trying to make.

It’s not like anyone thought this commission was going to be full integrity.

However, it is just another sad example of the fact that the Left is willing to sacrifice innocent life and safety for the sake of political theater and capital. They just don’t want to be called out on it.
