When you look at the data, it’s clear that Democrat-run states did far worse than Republican ones during the COVID situation.
Despite mainstream media demanding we think different, you just have to look at the hundreds of thousands fleeing blue states to know the truth. In times of crisis, democrats make for the worse leaders.
Just a few months ago, New York governor Andrew Cuomo was writing books on leadership. He collected a 7-figure advance while thousands of nursing home residents died because of his poor decisions.
His decision to place COVID positive patients back into long term care facilities proved to be fatal for the most vulnerable part of New York’s population.

Far less reported was the fact that Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan did the EXACT same thing as Andrew Cuomo did. She placed the elderly of her state in harm’s way.
According to a report from the Daily Wire, MIchigan is next up on the chopping block of accountability. They’ve allegedly been fudging their nursing home death numbers as well.
Apparently, Gretchen didn’t learn from Cuomo’s mistakes in New York. Rather than own up to her mistake, many believe she has fudged the numbers on nursing home deaths.
Suspicion of Whitmer’s wrongdoing is so strong that lawmakers are demanding an investigation into the deaths.
Michigan’s auditor general is reviewing the accuracy of the data that was collected by the state on coronavirus deaths that happened in nursing homes and long-care facilities.
Auditor General Doug Ringler wrote in a letter to Rep. Steve Johnson (R-Wayland), who chairs the state’s House Oversight Committee, that the results of the review should be available before the end of the year.
The letter came in response to Johnson requesting in a letter that a “comprehensive study of reported and unreported deaths in long-term care facilities” be completed after questions arose about the accuracy of the data.
Rep. Steve Johnson smells foul play and he’s looking for the truth!
The good news is that rather than ignore the request from the head of the state oversight committee, the Auditor General decided to see the investigation through.
Families of those that died because of Michigan’s horrible policies deserve to know the truth of what happened to their loved ones.
I am confident that the Auditor General will provide us with a more accurate picture of the deadly results of Gov,” Johnson said. “Whitmer’s decision to place COVID positive patients in long-term care facilities.”
Sen. Jim Runestad (R-White Lake) applauded the move by the auditor general in a statement, saying that “our most vulnerable nursing home residents were put in harm’s way because of policies from this administration.”
Michigan’s democrats almost got away with things. State attorney general Dana Nessel tried to help by refusing to investigate the nursing home deaths.
With word of the investigation moving forward, senators loyal to the truth applauded the move.
Since our attorney general refuses to investigate, it’s about time the auditor general get those real answers for grieving families,” he added. “I welcome this investigation and the chance to shine some light on this entire tragedy.”
The Left in Michigan are in official panic mode. Whitmer’s approval rating has taken a massive hit and the Michigan Health Department is running for cover.
Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services said they “followed the best data and science from the CDC to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect Michiganders, including vulnerable residents in long-term-care facilities.”
The approval rating of Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer has fallen significantly over the last several months from 58% in February to 50% last month and all the way down to 48% this month.
Hopefully Republicans and the good citizens of Michigan will be able to hold their failed leaders accountable. With results of the investigation coming in the fall, time will tell if that will happen.
