The pandering of January 6th seems it will never end.
In the left’s latest attempt to declare the Capitol Riot as a national tragedy the Smithsonian asked for Democrat Rep. Andy Kim’s suit so they could “memorialize the insurrection”.
Kim went on record saying that by donating his suit coat, he was preserving history that some want to erase.
Just like AOC, Rep Andy Kim was never in the Capitol while protestors were inside of the Capitol but instead he was in another building.
6 months ago today I wore this blue suit as I cleaned the Capitol after the insurrection, now I just donated it to the Smithsonian. Jan6 must never be forgotten. While some try to erase history, I will fight to tell the story so it never happens again. Here is one story…(THREAD) pic.twitter.com/GKePd1ZMrr

Rep. Andy Kim (D-NJ) wore a blue J. Crew suit to the U.S. Capitol on January 6th on the day Congress would confirm the electoral college votes for the presidential election. But the events of that day turned out very differently – now that same suit is headed to the Smithsonian. pic.twitter.com/uNw8rH9OE6

USA Today had more details to share on the story:
Six months after a violent pro-Trump mob ransacked the U.S. Capitol building, one lawmaker is preserving the memory of the insurrection by donating the suit he wore while he witnessed it.
“While some try to erase history, I will fight to tell the story so it never happens again,” Rep. Andy Kim, D-N.J., wrote in an extensive series of posts on Twitter.
As part of that effort, the congressman said he donated his blue suit to the Smithsonian Institution after it reached out to him for contributions memorializing the insurrection.
Kim, a former Obama aide who defeated a Trump ally in his 2018 race for Congress, was adamant that preserving the memory of the Jan. 6 insurrection is important to the story of the country. He hoped his contribution would help in that effort.

This is just another way Democrats are attempting to rewrite American history.
I’m sure as Andy’s suit comes in, a more important piece of American history will go out.
The New York Post released these details on the story:
New Jersey Rep. Andy Kim is donating the suit he wore during the US Capitol riot to The Smithsonian, he announced on Tuesday — on the six month anniversary of the attack.
The Democrat explained in a lengthy Twitter thread that he agreed to bestow the blue J. Crew suit to the institution because the events of Jan. 6. “must never be forgotten.”
“While some try to erase history, I will fight to tell the story so it never happens again,” Kim wrote.
A photo of the congressman wearing the suit while cleaning up litter left behind by the Jan. 6 mayhem at the Capitol was shared widely at the time.
