Texas Sheriffs Sue Biden For Setting Them up For Failure

Things on the border have not been going well for Biden’s administration. Immigrants lined the southern border weeks before Biden took office. Many of them held signs that read, “Biden, please let us in!”

By all accounts, Biden has answered their requests.

Remember a couple of years ago when Donald Trump was in the Oval Office? Interesting how we didn’t have a border crisis then. The wall was being built and Mexico had agreed to keep the apprehended on their side of the border for processing.

Fast forward to the present and we have a president that is actively trying to get illegal immigrants a free pass into the country.

Biden’s administration has been executing executive orders and legislation that have made it easier for illegals and harder for border enforcement at the same time.

According to a report from the Daily Wire, it seems that a group of law enforcement officials from the proud state of Texas have had enough of Biden’s border games.

A group of Texas sheriffs sued the Biden administration last week for restricting the authority of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to take and deport illegal immigrants.

Sheriffs from the border counties of Kinney, Edwards, McMullen, and Hudspeth in Texas along with an association of ICE officers accused the Biden administration of violating federal immigration law with its restrictions on ICE operations.

Joe and the Left have tried to place a compassionate spin on the administrations’ obstruction of the law. Check out the glowing depiction of Joe’s “humane” approach to immigration by the Courthouse News.

“As part of President Joe Biden’s pledge to take a more humane approach to immigration enforcement compared to the harsh policies of former President Donald Trump, the Biden administration issued a memo Feb. 18 directing ICE to focus on deporting immigrants who are national security or terrorist threats, gang members, those who have been convicted of certain aggravated felonies and any that entered the country after Nov. 1,” Courthouse News reports.

The Left will always justify their abuse of power by declaring they are doing it for the sake of “compassion” and “humanity”.

Joe is trying to drown border enforcement agencies in red tape and illogical protocols and procedures.

ICE officers who want to take into custody jailed immigrants falling outside those categories must first obtain approval from their bosses.”

What Biden’s administration fails to realize is that handcuffing agencies such as ICE is putting Americans at risk. However, this group of Texas sherrifs understand this first hand.

The lawsuit states that the Biden administration’s action has blocked ICE agents from taking into custody illegal immigrants accused of crimes such as human trafficking and drug smuggling.

“Since the issuance of the February 18 Memorandum, ICE officers have been unable to take custody of, or issue detainer requests for, dangerous criminal aliens whose detention is mandated by the [Immigration and Nationality Act]. Specifically, detention is required for aliens who have committed or been convicted of numerous crimes other than aggravated felonies, such as: crimes of moral turpitude, crimes involving controlled substances, human trafficking, money laundering, and certain firearm offenses,” the lawsuit states.

It looks like Biden and his team of geniuses failed to think their policy through. The result is not a compassionate immigration policy. Thousands of women and children are being exploited in the midst of this mass migration.

Joe’s only solution to illegal immigration seems to be to make a more dangerous America.

In another brilliant move, Biden decided that Kamala Harris, who couldn’t even fix her own presidential campaign, could repair the border crisis. She then proceeded to ignore the border completely for weeks.

Biden tapped Vice President Kamala Harris in March to head the administration’s response to the border crisis. Since the announcement, Harris has faced a heavy criticism from officials in some border states as the border crisis continues. Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich called on Biden to fire Harris as the administration’s “border czar” in May.

Things have not been going well under Kamala’s watch. In fact, she’s offered little more than a kackle or two in place of a solid plan.

“To date, her response to the border crisis has been absolutely abysmal, so I am requesting that she be replaced as your ‘border czar,’” Brnovich wrote in a letter. “We are not nearly 50 days into her appointment, and Vice President Harris has shown little interest in observing what is happening along the border and has failed to articulate any plan to deal with the devastating effects of this crisis.”

As the crisis on the border gets worse, Biden has turned to an old Obama strategy; blame everyone else.

The White House has blamed the ongoing border crisis on former President Donald Trump, claiming its policies led to the surge in immigration that began after Biden won the election last year.

Blaming Trump for what is happening on Joe’s watch is ludicrous. That’s like a drunk driver blaming his car wreck on the guy he bought his vehicle from.

While Biden can sell the mainstream media on how all of this is Trump’s fault, it doesn’t seem to be working on the rest of America. As the lawsuits from brave Americans keep coming, hopefully things can get turned around before Biden causes permanent damage to the fabric of this nation.
