Fauci Lied To Congress About Why Trump Canceled Funding To Wuhan Lab

Oh Fauci, Fauci, Fauci!

It’s one thing after another with him.

The man is desperate to maintain his own relevance that he will throw anyone, including his former boss, under the bus.

Not only was his office apparently funding the Wuhan lab but when the Trump administration ordered him to cancel funding to the lab, he resisted… and then lied about why they canceled funding in the first place!

Watch this clip that reveals how the Trump administration canceled funding over concerns over the safety of the lab and how the media and big tech covered it up.

According to the Daily Mail:

Dr Anthony Fauci was accused of lying Sunday after claims he falsely denied knowing the reasons behind President Trumps’s decision to cut funding to the Chinese lab accused of releasing COVID-19.

The White House‘s chief medical advisor initially resisted Trump’s order to halt taxpayer funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology in April 2020, according to an upcoming book, before telling a house committee in June that he ‘didn’t know the reason’ behind the then-president’s decision.

However, Fauci’s account is contradicted by ‘verbatim’ quotes which show he was fully aware Trump took the decision out of concern about the lab’s safety record and fears it was the source of the COVID pandemic, included in the new book ‘Nightmare Scenario: Inside the Trump Administration’s Response to the Pandemic That Changed History’ by Washington Post journalists Yasmeen Abutaleb and Damian Paletta.

So once again, we see that Trump took the right decisions regarding the pandemic and those responsible, only to be resisted by people in his own administration like Fauci who had his own agenda.

According to Fox News:

Rep. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., called the discrepancies between Fauci’s hearing comments and the book excerpt “very concerning,” saying it “goes to show just how important it is to have full investigation into the origins of COVID-19.”

“We owe it to the American people to find answers about how the pandemic happened and what Dr. Fauci knew and when he knew it,” he said.

Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, said he became concerned about early reports of COVID-19 when it was being described as a new respiratory virus in December of 2019, and in February of 2020, he “called on Energy and Commerce Committee Democrats to hold hearings to ensure that America was prepared if the virus came to our shores, and that we understood exactly of how this virus originated.”

He added, however, that “committee Democrats … lacked the curiosity.”

“Clearly over the last year, we have learned a great deal of the behavior of this virus and we have seen statements by experts change over time as more is learned,” Burgess said. “Dr. Fauci should be given and accept the opportunity to come before the committee again to provide, under oath, a fuller context to remarks attributed to him over the last year.

It’s time for Fauci to come clean about his relationship to the Wuhan lab, why he resisted stopping funding to the lab, and why he lied about the Trump administration’s motives in canceling the funding.

The media and the Left still seem to be protecting him but as more politicians start demanding answers the walls seem to be closing in.
