U.S. Embassy To The Vatican Raises Pride Flag

Under the Trump administration only one flag could be raised at U.S. Embassies but the Biden regime has since overturned this policy and has encouraged U.S. Embassies across the world to raise “Pride” flags for the month of June.

One of the most notable embassies that raised the rainbow flag was the U.S. Embassy to the Vatican.

The U.S. embassy’s decision to raise the pride flag received back lash online by Christians and Catholics who believe this is a direct attack against their beliefs.

Senator Marco Rubio spoke out on the flag being raised and was quoted saying “call it a just a hunch, but I don’t think you will see this from our embassy in Saudi Arabia”.

Rubio is absolutely right!

The Catholic News Agency shared these details:

The U.S. Embassy to the Holy See announced on Tuesday, June 1, that it was displaying the rainbow LGBT “Pride” flag for the month of June, which is celebrated as LGBT “Pride” month.

“The United States respects the dignity and equality of LGBTQI+ people. LGBTQI+ rights are human rights,” the embassy stated on Twitter.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken earlier this year announced that U.S. embassies and consulates around the world could fly the “Pride” flag on the same flagpole as the American flag, during “Pride season.”

The authorization to fly the flag – which was not a mandate – was given ahead of May 17, observed as the international day against homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia. June, during which embassies can also fly the “Pride” flag on the external flagpole, is celebrated as “Pride” month by people identifying as LGBT.

Under the Trump administration, U.S. diplomatic outposts were reportedly prohibited from flying the rainbow flag from embassy flagpoles, and had to obtain special permission to do so. They were allowed to display the flag inside buildings.

The Daily Caller covered the story too:

Conservatives and commentators accused the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See Tuesday of deliberately provoking the Catholic Church by flying a gay pride flag at an embassy to the Catholic city-state of the Vatican.

The U.S. Embassy to the Holy See’s Twitter account tweeted a photo of a large gay pride flag hanging from the Italian building Tuesday with the caption: “The U.S. Embassy to the Holy See celebrates #PrideMonth with the Pride flag on display during the month of June. The United States respects the dignity and equality of LGBTQI+ people. LGBTQI+ rights are human rights.”

The embassy did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation. A senior State Department spokesman told the DCNF that “U.S. embassies and consulates develop individual plans to raise awareness of violence, human rights abuses, and discrimination targeting LGBTQI+ persons, including appropriate exterior displays.”

Many users on Twitter found the move by the U.S. Embassy to raise the pride flag as disrespectful:

What’s next?

Will our woke school system  force our kids to pledge allegiance to the pride flag in the month of June too?
