For the Good of ‘Public Health’, Adolescents Can Now Be Vaccinated

In a rush to get the population vaccinated, another age group was approved for a covid vaccine today.

Regulators just approved the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine for emergency use in kids 12-15 years of age.

Naturally, the FDA says the known and potential benefits of the vaccine in these individuals outweigh the potential risks.

Even though there is no reason to push a brand new ‘vaccine’ on a segment of the population hardly affected by the virus.

Leftists will say we should vaccinate our kids from Covid-19 for the good of ‘public health’, forgetting about our individual liberties to do what we feel is best for our families. 

And it sure sounds like the perfect segway to mandate a Covid-19 vaccine for school.

Another reason why the Covid-19 vaccine should never be mandatory is that it has only been approved for emergency use.

Even though short-term studies may show typical vaccine side-effects, the long-term effects of the Covid-19 vaccine on children/everyone are still unknown. 

Fox News has more on the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine’s approval for kids:

Today’s action allows for a younger population to be protected from COVID-19, bringing us closer to returning to a sense of normalcy and to ending the pandemic,” Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, said in a statement. “Parents and guardians can rest assured that the agency undertook a rigorous and thorough review of all available data, as we have with all of our COVID-19 vaccine emergency use authorizations.”

In results from trials conducted among the younger group the vaccine showed 100% efficacy and robust antibody response, Pfizer previously said. Side effects were similar to those experienced by adults.

BioNTech SE and Pfizer previously said they hoped the vaccine would be available to children in this age group before the start of the school year next fall.

Besides Pfizer, Moderna has set its sights on getting adolescents vaccinated and lowering the age limit for its Covid-19 vaccine.

Check out the video below from MSNBC where they call this a ‘historic moment’ saying we cannot get back to a new normal without vaccinating kids.

They then go on to assure the public of the vaccine’s safety and how getting the vaccine into more kids gets us to ‘normalcy’:
