Pelosi Faces Backlash After Saying: “Thank You George Floyd For Sacrificing Your Life For Justice”

What did she say?

Pelosi has said a lot of tone-deaf things in her lifetime but her latest statement even has liberals mad at her.

In her first speech after Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all charges, Pelosi set up a media press conference and said “thank you George Floyd for sacrificing your life for justice”.

Users on Twitter from both sides of the political spectrum were disgusted with Pelosi’s statement.

Listen to the moment she said it here:

Did you notice how she looked up to the sky as if she actually cared about George Floyd?

The left has been using this man’s death for their political agenda for the last year and her speech shows it.

The New York Post covered Pelosi’s blunder:

Twitter users pounced on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday after she publicly thanked George Floyd “for sacrificing your life for justice.”

“Thank you, George Floyd, for sacrificing your life for justice. For being there to call out to your mom — how heartbreaking was that — call out for your mom, ‘I can’t breathe,’” Pelosi (D-Calif.) said during a news conference with members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

University of Illinois history professor and longtime black activist Barbara Ransby reacted with utter shock.

“Did Pelosi just say ‘George Floyd, thank u 4 sacrificing your life for justice’?” she tweeted.

“He did not SACRIFICE his life. His life was violently taken.”

Others were equally appalled.

You know it’s bad when liberals are even calling you out:

Business Insider covered the story too:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was condemned on Tuesday saying that George Floyd, a Minneapolis man murdered by a police officer in 2020, “sacrificed his life” for racial justice, a statement some critics called “ignorant” and “tone deaf.”

Just minutes earlier, a Hennepin County jury found Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer, guilty of unintentional second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter for killing Floyd by pinning his knee on his neck for nearly nine minutes.

Floyd’s death and other killings of Black Americans at the hands of police in 2020 set off nationwide protests and demands for justice and reforms to police and criminal justice systems around the country.

It looks like the far left is finally realizing their 81-year-old “leader” isn’t all there.
