A recent New York Times hit piece against President Trump has backed fired.

President Trump in his latest statement ripped the New York Times for fabricating a story about how his campaign took money illegally from donors.

Trump was quoted saying the Times tried to “disparage our record-setting grassroots fundraising operation”.

He went on to say that his support was so big in the 2020 election that “it has become a major threat aginst the Democrat Party which explains why the New York Times immediately rushed to defend their Radical Left allies”.

Take a look at his full statement down below:

The New York Post didn’t stay behind and had this to say:

President Donald Trump on Monday ripped into the New York Times for running a story on refunds issued to people who claimed they unwittingly signed up to be recurring donors to his campaign.

Trump said in an emailed statement that the article was a “completely misleading, one-sided attack piece” that sought to demean him.

“In yet another highly partisan story, the failing New York Times wrote a completely misleading, one-sided attack piece this weekend that tried to disparage our record-setting grassroots fundraising operation during the 2020 campaign,” Trump said.

“Except for massive voter fraud, this was a campaign that was easily won by your favorite Republican President, me! Our support in 2020 was so big—never before seen (received more votes than any sitting President in history, by far), that it has become a major threat to the Democrat Party, which explains why the New York Times immediately rushed to defend their Radical Left allies.”

The Epoch Times also covered the story:

President Donald Trump dismissed a New York Times article that included claims he engaged in questionable fundraising tactics during the 2020 campaign, accusing the paper of publishing a “one-sided attack piece.”

“In yet another highly partisan story, the failing New York Times wrote a completely misleading, one-sided attack piece this weekend that tried to disparage our record-setting grassroots fundraising operation during the 2020 campaign,” Trump said via his Save America political action committee (PAC) on Monday.

“Our support in 2020 was so big—never before seen (received more votes than any sitting President in history, by far), that it has become a major threat to the Democrat Party, which explains why the New York Times immediately rushed to defend their Radical Left allies,” he added.

The NY Times reported that the Trump campaign issued millions of dollars in refunds to donors during the final months of 2020, which allegedly exceeded that of President Joe Biden’s campaign. The paper cited “an investigation by The New York Times” that claimed some donors unwittingly agreed to weekly recurring campaign donation payments.

Trump said in his Monday statement that his 2020 campaign replicated Democratic fundraising tactics, including the platform ActBlue.

The New York Times is just trying to stay relevant by creating hit pieces on Trump being their newspaper is going down the drain.
