It’s amazing how 60 Minutes has completely ignored the Gov. Cuomo nursing home scandal but has decided to do a hit piece on Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.
Gov. DeSantis recently slammed 60 Minutes for accusing him of cutting a “pay to play” deal with the grocery chain Publix.
DeSantis was quoted saying “so, first of all, what you’re saying is wrong, that’s a fake narrative” after a CBS correspondent accused DeSantis of allowing Publix to “exclusively” distribute vaccines only after they gave DeSantis a $100,000 donation.
The CBS reporter continued to badger Gov. DeSantis and wouldn’t give up.
DeSantis then responded by saying”you don’t care about the facts”.
Check out the moment it happened:

Breitbart News didn’t hold back and covered the story:
Sunday, CBS’s “60 Minutes” aired a report saying that weeks before Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced a partnership with Publix grocery stores to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine in its pharmacies, Publix donated $100,000 to his PAC.
CBS’s Sharyn Alfonsi asked DeSantis how that situation is “not pay to play,” especially considering the exclusivity of the deal and Belle Glade, FL, being around 30 miles away from the nearest Publix.
DeSantis shot down the notion of any wrongdoing, calling it a “fake narrative.”
“So, first of all, what you’re saying is wrong. That’s a fake narrative,” DeSantis outlined. “I met with the county mayor, I met with the administrator, I met with all the folks at Palm Beach County, and I said, ‘Here’s some of the options: we can do more drive-thru sites, we can give more to hospitals, we can do the Publix.’ And they said, ‘We think that would be the easiest thing for our residents.’”
“The criticism is that it’s pay to play, Governor,” Alfonsi stated.
“It’s wrong. It’s wrong. It’s a fake narrative,” DeSantis shot back. “I just disabused of the narrative, and you don’t care about the facts because, obviously, I laid it out for you in a way that is irrefutable, and so it’s clearly not.”
60 Minutes faces backlash for 'deceptively edited' Ron DeSantis piece https://t.co/fyozMvvCbO via @MailOnline

The Daily Mail didn’t stay silent, see what they had to add:
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has slammed 60 Minutes for ‘deceptively editing’ his exchange with a correspondent in a piece accusing him of cutting a ‘pay-for-play’ deal with grocery chain Publix for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, as even Democratic officials in the state say the program ignored key evidence contradicting the allegation.
Sunday’s episode of the once-venerable CBS News program revealed that weeks before Publix landed the lucrative contract, the chain donated $100,000 to DeSantis’ PAC, Friends of Ron DeSantis.
60 Minutes implied in the piece that Publix was the only source of vaccines in Palm Beach County, which is false, and blamed the Publix deal for exacerbating racial and economic disparities in vaccine distribution.
The report also featured a testy exchange between correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi and the Republican governor, showing him slamming the allegations as a ‘false narrative’ – but cut out several minutes of DeSantis explaining the Publix contract, leading him and others to accuse the show of deceptive editing.
After 60 Minutes hit piece aired, Tucker Carlson invited Gov. DeSantis on-air to see the record straight:
