AOC Desperately Tries to Shift Narrative on Border, “It’s an Imperialism Crisis, It’s a Climate Crisis, It’s a Trade Crisis”

It's everything but a border crisis according to AOC.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for a few years, you are aware that congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tends to say some crazy things.

She’s always looking to top the last stupid comment she made.

She just succeeded in proving that.

AOC is desperate to shift the narrative on the current border crisis effecting the southern United States.

She contends that there is no border crisis at all.

Instead, she blames imperialism, climate change, and trade.

AOC had this to say on Instagram:

“It’s not a border crisis. It’s an imperialism crisis. It’s a climate crisis. It’s a trade crisis.”

This woman is an expert in shifting blame.

More on AOC's latest Instagram meltdown from our friends at the Daily Wire:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) blamed the worsening immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border on imperialism, climate change, trade policy, and the prison system.

Ocasio-Cortez sounded off on the border crisis Tuesday on Instagram. The New York Democrat did not explicitly blame President Joe Biden for the surge of illegal migrants crossing the U.S. border, though migrants themselves cite the president and his policies as primary factors in their decision to travel to the U.S.

“So let’s talk about this because so much of our national conversation, which is not a conversation, about immigration is driven by people who could not care less about immigrants. So often people want to say, ‘Why aren’t you talking about the border crisis?’ or ‘Why are you talking about it in this way?’” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“Well, we’re talking about it. They just don’t like how we’re talking about it because it’s not a border crisis, it’s an imperialism crisis. It’s a climate crisis. It’s a trade crisis. And also, it’s a carceral crisis because as I have already said even during this term and this president, our immigration system is based and designed on our carceral system,” she continued.

Ocasio-Cortez went on to blame the U.S. for causing a climate crisis that “disproportionally” impacts Latin America, forcing migrants to flee north from their home countries to avoid environmental disasters.

AOC also said using the word "surge" when describing the border crisis is racist.

Of course she did...

The New York Post has more on that:

“But people don’t want to have that conversation. They want to say, ‘But what about the surge?'” AOC said.

“Well, first of all, just — gut check. Stop. Anyone who’s using the term ‘surge’ around you, consciously, is trying to invoke a militaristic frame,” she insisted.

“And that’s a problem, because this is not a surge. These are children and they are not insurgents and we are not being invaded.

“Which, by the way, is a white supremacist philosophy. The idea that if another is coming in the population that this is an invasion of who we are,” the congresswoman continued.

“If you do want to zero in on the conditions of this moment,” she said –adding only a vague explanation of it reflecting problems with the US “carceral system” that “black and abolitionist organizers have already been talking about for a long time.”

Her claims quickly sparked outrage online, especially among those seeing the crisis first-hand, unlike AOC who has yet to visit.

Let's get this straight...

AOC staged pictures of herself pretending to look at children in cages during President Donald Trump's tenure.

Now, she says there is no crisis.

Conservative media members took to Twitter to mock AOC relentlessly for her hypocrisy.

It seems AOC is just looking for something new to be offended by, as the Babylon Bee correctly mocked her for:
