New Pentagon ‘Diversity & Inclusion Officer’ Once Compared President Trump to Hitler

Our military’s decline into wokeness continues.

Mr. Richard Torres-Estrada was recently hired as the Pentagon’s new Chief of Diversity & Inclusion.

But a little digging into Torres-Estrada’s social media history shows just how much he values political diversity.

Here’s what was discovered:

It appears to be more radicalization of our military by the woke left.

Why does our military need a Chief of Diversity & Inclusion anyway?

I thought they were nonpolitical.

That’s how it was before Democrats began purging military leadership to place political ideologues in command.

And comparing President Trump to Hitler?

It shows you what kind of leadership we now have inside the Pentagon.

Tucker Carlson discussed our military’s continued plunge into wokeism:

From The Federalist:

The U.S. Special Operations Command’s newly-hired “chief of diversity and inclusion” shared anti-Trump memes on Facebook, namely one that likens the former president to Adolf Hitler.

Upon the Defense Department’s announcement of the hiring of Richard Torres-Estrada, several volatile posts were dug up. A comparison photo of Hitler and Trump Photoshopped next to each other, holding Bibles in the air, has caught the most eyes. Torres-Estrada posted it on June 2, 2020.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson discussed Torres-Estrada’s post in a segment on Friday. “The point is, they’re the same,” Carlson said, saying clearly what the diversity director was trying to communicate. “So, this is the guy who now oversees hiring for the SEALs.”

“The Pentagon is now the Yale faculty lounge, but with cruise missiles. That should concern you,” Carlson said, harping on the extent to which the military has gone fully woke.

Carlson’s description of the military comes weeks after the Department of Defense went fully partisan and condemned Carlson for his critique of the department for introducing a flight suit for pregnant women. For some odd reason, the Defense Department decided to get involved in political affairs, and press spokesman John Kirby directed his staff to issue communications in response to the Fox News host’s claim. This is most certainly a violation of the department’s Principles of Information philosophy, which says the agency will not engage in “propaganda” or function like a public relations firm.

Torres-Estrada posted one photo of Trump on July 8, 2020, surrounded by quotes smearing him, and a “missing” sign of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Feb. 19, 2021.

“Looks like the new diversity officer loves celebrating diversity with those who agree with him. Here is what he thinks of the rest of us — Mr. Torres-Estrada was not placed in US Special Operations command by mistake,” tweeted Joe Kent, a retired U.S. Army Special Forces chief warrant officer three.

And from The Blaze:

The United States Special Operations Command, a division of the Defense Department that oversees the various special operations components of the U.S. armed forces, announced last week that it had appointed Richard Torres-Estrada as its first-ever “Diversity and Inclusion” chief.

In a post on Instagram announcing the hire, USSOCOM wrote that “Torres-Estrada has nearly two decades worth of experience working diversity and inclusion programs and activities in federal agencies” and now “will guide the enterprise-wide effort to institutionalize and sustain [diversity and inclusion]” at the command.

“We look forward to Mr. Torres-Estrada’s contribution in enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of [special forces operations] through diversity of talent, helping us recruit the best of the best,” USSOCOM added.

But shortly after the announcement was posted, past controversial social media posts published by Torres-Estrada began to circulate online.

One such post, published on Facebook last June, featured a side-by-side picture of Trump and Hitler, both appearing to hold a Bible.

“Here I leave this and slowly retire (to continue working from home)…” Torres-Estrada wrote as a caption to the post, insinuating a comparison between the two.

Remarkably, the new diversity chief didn’t think to verify the accuracy of the post before sharing it. The image of Hitler has since been discredited as fact-checkers confirmed the Bible was photoshopped into the original image.

What else?

Commenting on the news during his show Friday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson blasted Torres-Estrada and the Pentagon’s decision to hire him.

“So, this is the guy who now oversees hiring for the SEALs,” Carlson said before pointing to other examples of the military going “woke.”

“The Pentagon is now the Yale faculty lounge, but with cruise missiles. That should concern you,” he added.

TheBlaze reported in February that following the creation of Task Force Navy One, a division “established to combat discrimination in the Navy,” sailors were forced to pledge to “advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every Sailor in the Navy.”
