Mississippi Governor Bans Transgenders From Participating In Female Sports

Not everyone is bowing down to the Biden regime.

The Governor of Mississippi has just banned transgender athletes from competing in female sports.

Gov. Tate Reeves’s new ban defies Biden’s Executive Order that called on schools to allow students to participate in athletics under their chosen gender identity.

Hats off to Gov. Reeves for standing up for woman’s rights!

Fox News covered the big announcement and dropped these details:

Transgender athletes will no longer be able to compete in female sports in Mississippi following Republican Gov. Tate Reeves’ first statewide ban in public schools Thursday.

Mississippi Republicans have said the law, which will affect state schools and universities, is a necessary response to President Biden’s day-one executive order calling on schools across the country to allow students to participate in sports under their chosen gender identity.

“This important piece of legislation will ensure that young girls in Mississippi have a fair, level playing field in public school sports,” Reeves said Thursday.

“It sends a clear message to my daughters and all of Mississippi’s daughters that their rights are worth fighting for,” he added.

The Hill chipped in too:

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves (R) on Thursday committed to signing a bill that bans transgender athletes from participating in girls’ or women’s sports at state schools and universities.

His commitment to approve the bill comes after the state House this week passed the legislation, which is expected to make it to the governor’s desk in the upcoming days. The Mississippi Senate previously passed the bill last month, with both chambers voting mostly along party lines.

“I will sign our bill to protect young girls from being forced to compete with biological males for athletic opportunities,” the governor said in a tweet.

“It’s crazy we have to address it, but the Biden E.O. forced the issue,” Reeves wrote.

Reeves isn’t the only person pushing back against Biden’s Executive Order.

In total there are over 25 bills across the country that aim to stop transgenders from participating in female sports.
