Roughly 1/4th Of States Are Suing Biden Over Climate Executive Orders

12 states are now fighting back against Joe Biden's executive orders on climate related regulations and laws.

He asked for it.

Joe Biden has become like a factory for churning out executive orders, and they have been killing jobs left and right.

Whether it be shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline, or the attempt to push windmills down our throats, people are feeling the dire consequences of his policies.

Look at what happened in Texas recently, those people don’t need “climate accords” they need reliable energy.

Good on the states for fighting back, no one should let this guy get away with costing people millions of jobs, and good reliable energy.

Here is more on the story:

Fox Business reported on the story:

A coalition of 12 states is suing President Biden's administration over a climate executive order that they claim has the potential to have a serious economic impact across the country through the expansion of federal regulatory power.

The suit, which is being led by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, was filed on Monday. State attorneys general from Arkansas, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah also joined the action.

It alleges that Biden’s Executive Order 13990, titled “Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis,” does not have the authority to issue binding numbers for the “social cost” of greenhouse gases to be used in federal regulations.

The breakdown of the social costs shows $269 billion for carbon dioxide, $990 billion for methane, and $8.24 trillion for nitrous oxide – totaling approximately $9.5 trillion, according to the lawsuit, which cited interim values determined by an interagency working group that was created by Biden’s order.

The Hill had more:

The Biden administration’s executive order directed an interagency group to try to figure out social costs of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide emissions.

But he’s not the first president to do so, with former President Obama setting the social cost of carbon at $50 per metric ton, while the Trump administration valued it at $7 per metric ton.

More recently, the Biden administration said it will temporarily return to the Obama-era method for calculating the social cost and adjust for inflation while it develops its own cost.

The social cost is expected to be used to help the Biden administration determine pros and cons of regulations that will have varied impacts on greenhouse gas emissions.
