Sen. Rand Paul Grills Rachel Levine For Advocating Sex Changes For Children

Sen. Rand Paul absolutely  grilled Biden’s  assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services pick Rachel Levine.

In Levine’s Senate confirmation hearing Sen. Paul asked Levine the simple question “Do you believe that minors are capable of making such a life-changing decision as changing one’s sex?”.

Levine immediately dodged the question by saying “transgender medicine is a very complex and nuanced field”.

Sen. Paul didn’t stop there and also stated that Levine’s endorsement of “genitalia mutilation” goes against every human rights group including the UN and the WHO.

Watch Sen. Paul silence Levine below:

Sen. Paul used nothing but facts!

He’s not a novice when it comes to the medical field, he’s actually a physician!

Dems always talk about “trust science” but when Sen. Rand Paul brings up science they completely ignore it.

Go figure!

The New York Post covered the confirmation hearing:

Biden’s nominee for assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services refused to respond after being grilled by Sen. Rand Paul at her Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday regarding her stance on child gender transitioning.

“American culture is now normalizing the idea that minors can be given hormones to prevent their biological development of their secondary sexual characteristics,” Paul of Kentucky said at the hearing for Dr. Rachel Levin, a transgender woman.

“Most genital mutilation is not typically performed by force. But as WHO notes by social convention, social norm, the social pressure to conform to do what others do and have been doing, as well as the need to be accepted socially the fear of being rejected by the community,” Paul said.

Paul then asked Levine: “Do you believe that minors are capable of making such a life-changing decision as changing one’s sex?”

Levine, the first transgender person to be nominated for a Cabinet-level position, dodged the question, responding by saying transgender medicine is a “very complex and nuanced field” and adding that she would be happy to discuss the “particulars” if confirmed.

Fox News also covered Levine’s confirmation hearing:

Paul asked Dr. Rachel Levine, who is on track to become the first openly transgender nominee to be confirmed by the Senate, whether she believed minors should be allowed to decide for themselves to undergo permanent life-altering surgeries or hormone therapies.

“Senator, thank you for your interest in this question,” replied Levine, who has been nominated to be assistant secretary of health. “Transgender medicine is a very complex and nuanced field with robust research and standards of care that have been developed,” Levine said. “If I am fortunate enough to be confirmed as the assistant secretary of health, I will look forward to working with you and your office and coming to your office and discussing the particulars of the standards of care for transgender medicine.”

Paul accused her of evading the question and asked again.

“What I am alarmed at is that you’re not willing to say, absolutely, minors shouldn’t be making decisions to amputate their breasts or to amputate their genitalia,” he said. “I am alarmed that you won’t say, with certainty, that minors should not have the ability to make the decision to take hormones that will affect them for the rest of their life. Will you make a more firm decision on whether or not minors should be involved in these decisions?”

Levine replied to Rand’s follow-up with a nearly identical response as to his first question

Levine’s confirmation hearing isn’t finished yet and he will face another round of questions this Friday.
