Republicans Lawmakers Are Asking Why Pelosi Denied “The National Guard Support On January 4th”

It’s about time lawmakers are putting pressure on Pelosi.

Several top Republicans are demanding answers from Pelosi on decisions that were made leading up to the Capitol Siege on January 6th.

Judiciary Committee Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Intelligence Committee Member Devin Nunes (R-Calif) along with others sent a letter to Nancy Pelosi asking why was the National Guard was not allowed to come to DC on January 4th just two days prior to the Capitol riot.

It looks like Democrats have been putting so much publicity on the impeachment trial because they are hiding things themselves.

The New York Post reported the story see what they had to say:

House Republicans are demanding answers from Speaker Nancy Pelosi on security decisions made in the lead-up to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and what involvement her office had, according to a new report.

In a Monday letter, top-ranking House Republicans including Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) also accused Pelosi (D-Calif.) of blocking their requests for information on security failures.

“As you are aware, the Speaker of the House is not only the leader of the majority party, but also has enormous institutional responsibilities,” the pols wrote in the letter obtained by Fox News.

In the letter, the Republican lawmakers said they had seen a “very heavy-handed and tightly controlled approach to House operations” from Pelosi’s office and demanded to know why requests for the National Guard to be deployed before the insurrection were rebuffed.

Fox News didn’t stay silent, see what they had to add to the story:

Top Republicans on several committees are demanding answers from Speaker Nancy Pelosi regarding security decisions made leading up to and on the day of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6.

House Administration Committee Ranking Member Rodney Davis, House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member James Comer and House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes sent a letter to Pelosi, D-Calif., on Monday, saying that “many important questions” about her “responsibility for the security” of the Capitol on Jan. 6 “remain unanswered.”

Davis, Jordan, Comer and Nunes pointed to claims made by former Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund, that he, on Jan. 4, approached the sergeants at arms to request the assistance of the National Guard. Sund, in a letter to Pelosi last month, said the former Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving said he was concerned about “the optics” and didn’t feel the “intelligence supported it.”

In order to stay away from answering questions on why the National Guard was denied access into DC on January 4th, the Dems will probably run to the 14th Amendment and have all media outlets covering it.
