Trump’s impeachment lawyer absolutely scorched Democrats.
David Schoen Trump’s attorney called out Democrats and was quoted saying “They want to put you through a 16-hour presentation over 2 days focusing on this as if it was some sort of bloodsport. And to what end? For unity?”.
Schoen is absolutely right!
The Dems have used this impeachment trial as a way to get revenge on President Trump and in no way does this impeachment trial bring unity.
Here’s the video of Schoen calling out Dems, you’re really going to want to watch this:

He absolutely brought the heat!
Here’s another video of Schoen:
"Going forward with this impeachment trial of a former president of the United States is unconstitutional…and, as a matter of policy, it is wrong as wrong can be, for all of us as a nation." – President Trump's impeachment lawyer David Schoen. pic.twitter.com/DqeeqIchS6

CNN covered Schoen’s comments:
Schoen said the trial would not unite the nation, rather it will “tear the country in half, leaving tens of millions of Americans feeling left out of the nation’s agenda.”
Noting that House impeachment managers enlisted the help of a movie company to produce a video recapping the Capitol riot, Schoen criticized the tactic as an effort to “chill and horrify” those who will view it.
“They want to put you through a 16-hour presentation over two days focusing on this as if it were some sort of blood sport. And to what end?” he asked, adding, “for healing? For unity? For accountability? Not for any those.”
Instead, he dubbed it a “pure, raw, misguided partisanship that makes them believe playing to our worst instincts somehow is good.”

Despite Schoen’s efforts the Senate still proceeded to vote in favor of holding an impeachment trial.
Fox News covered the results:
The Senate voted Tuesday to move ahead with the unprecedented impeachment trial of former President Trump after listening to nearly four hours of arguments on whether it is constitutional to try a president who is already out of office.
The vote was 56-44.
