Los Angeles City Council Democrat Completely Butchers The Pledge Of Allegiance

California seems to elect anybody.

A Los Angeles City Council Democrat was asked to lead the pledge of Allegiance, the only problem is he didn’t even know it!

He completely butchered it.

Fox News reported the mishap:

A longtime California Democratic lawmaker badly bungled the Pledge of Allegiance during a Los Angeles city council meeting Tuesday morning, video shows.

When asked by Council President Nury Martinez to lead the chamber in the Pledge of Allegiance Tuesday morning at a virtual meeting, Council Member Kevin de Leon replied, “It would be an honor.”

But then, according to the video, he said this:

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America…undervisible, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America…for which it stands. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all…oof.”

How pathetic. This guy has been involved in California politics as a democrat for at least 7 years and he doesn't know the Pledge of Allegiance!?!

Los Angeles City Council member Kevin de León flubbed the Pledge of Allegiance on Tuesday when asked to recite it at the opening of a City Council meeting.

De León was, until recently, among the most senior Democrats in the state. He served as State Senate President Pro Tem, and mounted an unsuccessful challenge to unseat incumbent Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) in 2018. He has been the city council representative for the heavily-Latino District 14 since 2020.

After he was asked to recite the Pledge, De León replied:

It would be an honor. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. [Long pause] Under-visible, um, pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. [Pause] Oh, boy. [Pause] For which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Whew.

After completely embarrassing himself Kevin de Leon sent out this tweet:

This is the reason why President Trump pushed for the 1776 Commission because Democrats are ripping up America’s history and values into shreds then laughing when they do it.
