Ex-Facebook Executive Says OANN And Newsmax Must Be De-platformed

It looks like liberals aren’t too fond of OANN and Newsmax.

Former Facebook executive Alex Stamos appeared on CNN and went on a rant bashing Conservative news outlets.

Stamos specifically called out OANN and Newsmax by saying “we have to figure out OANN and Newsmax.. I’m not sure we need Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, and such to be bringing them into tens of millions of homes”.

It looks like liberals want Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, CNN, ABC, NBC, Facebook, and Twitter to decipher of truth.

The Daily Caller covered Stamos’ ridiculous statements:

Former Facebook chief security officer Alex Stamos called for carriers like Verizon, AT&T, and others to deplatform One America News Network (OANN) and Newsmax during a Sunday morning appearance on CNN’s “Reliable Sources.”

“One of the places you can see this is on the fact that you now have competitors to Fox News on their right, OANN and Newsmax, which are carried by all the major cable networks, who are trying now to outflank Fox on the right because the moment Fox [News] introduced any kind of realism into their reporting, immediately a bunch of people chose to put themselves into a sealed ecosystem,” Stamos said.

Stamos went on to suggest that social media companies collaborate together “in the same way they worked on ISIS.”

The ironic part about his statements is he made them on CNN!

Remember this:

The Washington Examiner got the scoop too:

The former chief security officer of Facebook suggested conservative news outlets One America News and Newsmax be deplatformed following the siege of the Capitol and the proliferation of “radical views” online.

“We have to turn down the capability of these conservative influencers to reach these huge audiences. There are people on YouTube, for example, that have a larger audience than daytime CNN, and they are extremely radical and pushing extremely radical views,” Alex Stamos said Sunday on CNN’s Reliable Sources.
