The flags at the White House have just been lowered to half staff.
An official announcement has not yet been made.
Many are presuming it is for Officer Brian Sicknick who was killed in the line of duty….however the flags at the Capitol were lowered two days ago for that reason.
Why now for the White House?
The flag above the White House has now been lowered to half-staff, 2 days after the flags at the Capitol were lowered to honor Officer Brian Sicknick.
Awaiting statement from the WH explaining the rationale.— Jeremy Diamond (@JDiamond1) January 10, 2021
“It’s a disgrace,” Chris Christie says on ABC of the White House flag not being lowered to honor the US Capitol Police officer killed by the mob on Wednesday. “It’s just wrong.”

Perhaps they should have been lowered for Ashli Babbitt?
Or perhaps they are signaling a military operation has begun?
We don’t know.
But here’s the video:
The White House lowered its flag to half-staff on Sunday.
