Why politicize the Secret Service?
They are meant to serve and protect the President of the United States!
It doesn’t matter what party you are.
The Secret Service has protected both Democrats AND Republicans for years!
New reports reveal that Joe Biden is planning to PURGE the Secret Service of agents “politically aligned” with President Trump.
This is not a good precedent.
It could also potentially be detrimental to the agents and their families.

Did anyone hear that Biden has requested his Secret Service people from when he was VP? He doesn't feel comfortable with the ones he has now.

Rest assured, if Donald Trump purged the Secret Service of Democrats, the media would have had a field day with it.
But now that Joe Biden is doing it, the mainstream media appears to be ignoring the story!
Still, a number of outlets are publishing the stunning details.
According to the Washington Post:
The Secret Service is making some staff changes in the presidential detail that will guard President-elect Joe Biden, amid concerns from Biden allies that some current members were politically aligned with President Trump, according to two people familiar with the changes.
As Biden readies his new administration, the Secret Service plans to bring back to the White House detail a handful of senior agents whom Biden knows well from their work more than four years ago guarding him and his family when he was vice president.
Staff changes are typical with the arrival of a new president and are designed to increase the trust and comfort the incoming president feels with his protective agents, who often stand by the president’s side during sensitive discussions and private moments.
But the shifts underway occur at a particularly contentious time, as Trump has blamed his reelection loss on unfounded allegations of voter fraud and has sought to block his administration from treating Biden as the president-elect. Some in the Secret Service also came under criticism during Trump’s tenure for appearing to embrace his political agenda.
For instance, some presidential detail members urged other agents and Secret Service officers not to wear masks on presidential trips this year — against the administration’s own public health guidance — as the president felt wearing masks projected weakness, The Washington Post has reported.
The Secret Service also took the unprecedented step of allowing the former detail leader to temporarily leave his job to become a White House political adviser. Anthony Ornato was hired as White House deputy chief of staff earlier this year. In that role, he helped coordinate a controversial June photo opportunity in which Trump strode defiantly across Lafayette Square to pose with a Bible after the park was forcibly cleared of peaceful protesters.
Ornato also helped coordinate numerous rallies across the country during the pandemic, per Trump’s wishes. The mass gatherings were blamed for increasing the spread of the coronavirus in some of the communities where they took place and left many in the ranks of the Secret Service infected or exposed.
More than 130 Secret Service officers and dozens of Secret Service agents helping to protect the president and vice president either tested positive for the coronavirus in 2020 or had to quarantine because of suspected contact with infected co-workers.
The Secret Service is there to protect the president.
The political ideologies of the individual agents does not matter.
It does not interfere with their ability to successfully do their job.
So this raises the question: what is Joe Biden so afraid of?
Does he have something to hide?
Why would he only surround himself with loyalists?
Imagine working at the Washington Post and being this in the bag for Biden.
Seems to me the Post is completely broken. Is there not an editor who is skeptical enough to say “why would they need to hand pick secret service agents for Biden? What are they concerned about?” https://t.co/1lKtOxvHvh

The purge is only happening out of fears of “Trump loyalty.”
This is a stunning development.
Because for years, the media have told us that there is always dissent in Trump’s camp.
They’ve ran stories on how Trump “abuses” the Secret Service.
Joe Biden has made it very clear that many of the Secret Service agents are “loyal” to Trump.
The Guardian has more details about the potential purge:
Joe Biden is expected to receive Secret Service protection with a new team that is more familiar to him and replacing some agents amid concerns that they may be politically allied with Donald Trump.
In a changing of the guard as well as the man to be guarded at the White House, Biden’s security detail will undergo some staffing changes, the Washington Post reported on Thursday.
Several “senior” Secret Service agents are poised to return to the president-elect’s protection team and Biden knows these agents well because they guarded him and his family during his time as vice-president, according to the article, echoed in a report by CNN, citing a law enforcement source.
Re-assignments and promotions are common during transition periods between presidential administrations and are meant to increase comfort and trust between a president-elect and his security team, who shadow the commander-in-chief closely, including during private moments and sensitive discussions.
Although staffing changes are typical, several incidents reportedly contributed to the heightened concerns from Biden’s allies that some agents and officers might be loyal to Trump.
Some members of the president’s detail reportedly urged their colleagues not to wear masks during trips, for example – despite the federal government’s official guidance on Covid-19 – as Trump himself disparaged mask-wearing and held out for months before being seen wearing one in public.
In what was described as an “unprecedented” move, the Secret Service had permitted former detail leader Anthony Ornato to temporarily leave his role and serve as White House deputy chief of staff.
Ornato was among the coordinators of the June photo op for which Trump marched through Washington DC’s Lafayette Square to stand with a Bible – after peaceful protesters were forced from the area by troops on federal order, sparking uproar in political circles as well as among the public..
Ornato also assisted in the planning of many Trump campaign rallies even as Covid-19 tore through the US and gatherings were being discouraged or banned outright. In addition to members of the public, many Secret Service members contracted coronavirus or were exposed.
We don’t know about you, but if we were to give advice to Joe Biden, he should be more worried about Kamala Harris than the Secret Service.
