Fauci has been caught in his lies and Senator Marco Rubio is calling him out on it.
Senator Marco Rubio recently called out Dr. Fauci for “selectively lying” about herd immunity.
Fauci in a recent interview with the New York Times said in order to reach herd immunity 75 to 90 percent of the nation needs to be vaccinated and went on to say that his previous claims of 60 to 70 percent were just stated because America wasn’t ready to hear the truth.
Rubio also exposed Fauci in his inconsistency in his statements on mask-wearing and was quoted saying Fauci was “lying to the American people in order to manipulate their behavior”.

Dr. Fauci lied about masks in March
Dr. Fauci has been distorting the level of vaccination needed for herd immunity
It isn’t just him
Many in elite bubbles believe the American public doesn’t know “what’s good for them” so they need to be tricked into “doing the right thing”

Marco Rubio’s opinion piece was published by Fox News, here are some more details:
For most of this year, Dr. Fauci and other scientists in our public health establishment have been telling Americans that about 60 to 70 percent of the nation would need a vaccine in order for us to reach herd immunity and make the coronavirus a non-issue.
But, speaking with The New York Times, Dr. Fauci admitted that he believes the real number is in fact significantly higher — perhaps 75 to 90 percent — and he declined to be forthright because he felt the country wasn’t ready to hear it. Only now did he say that he feels he has the freedom to “nudge this up a bit” without discouraging the nation.
I am sure that Dr. Fauci — the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases — made the decision to mislead with nothing but good intentions. However, let’s be clear about what he was doing: lying to the American people in order to manipulate their behavior.

Yahoo News chipped in too:
Just one week after being one of the first Americans to receive a dose of coronavirus vaccine, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio again attacked science and Dr. Anthony Fauci on Twitter.
The Republican lawmaker received swift backlash after his Sunday tweet, which read: “Dr. Fauci lied about masks in March. Dr. Fauci has been distorting the level of vaccination needed for herd immunity.”
“It isn’t just him,” Rubio wrote. “Many in elite bubbles believe the American public doesn’t know ‘what’s good for them’ so they need to be tricked into ‘doing the right thing.’”
Fauci has been hailed as a superstar by liberal lawmakers, so of course, his recommendations are going to be biased.
Hats off to Rubio though for holding Fauci accountable.
