A House Democrat Attempts To Exclude 126 Republicans From Taking Seat In Congress After Supporting The Texas Lawsuit

It looks like this Democrat is taking notes from Communists leaders in the past.

Rep. Bill Pascrell a Democrat from New Jersey on Friday requested House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to refuse to seat any of the 126 Republican House members who signed in support of the recent Texas lawsuit which aimed to overturn the fraudulent election.

Pascrell said that 126 Republicans violated the 14th amendment and “engaged in insurrection or rebellion”.

I guess if you stand for truth and justice Democrats will try to exclude you.

NATIONAL POLL: Should Nancy Pelosi Be Removed From Office?

Forbes covered the Democrat’s strange demands:

Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) on Friday urged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to refuse to seat any of the 126 Republican House members who signed an amicus brief supporting a lawsuit aimed at overturning the results of the presidential election.

Pascrell, who has been among the most vocal proponents in Congress of investigations into President Trump, called on Pelosi in a letter to “exclude” any members who signed the brief, claiming they want to “tear the United States government apart.”

Pascrell cites Section 3 of the 14th amendment – which states that anyone who “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” cannot serve in federal office – claiming the lawsuit seeks to “obliterate public confidence in our democratic system” and that those who signed it committed “unbecoming acts that reflect poorly on our chamber.”

Fox News wasn’t silent and added these details:

Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-N.J., sent a letter Friday urging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to consider blocking more than 100 Republican lawmakers from taking office because of their support for President Trump’s lawsuit challenging the 2020 election results.

The letter calls out the 126 Republicans who joined the president’s lawsuit, which was headed to the U.S. Supreme Court. On Friday, the Court rejected that case.

The 12-term legislator went on to quote the 14th Amendment, which blocks individuals from serving in office if they engaged in an “insurrection or rebellion.”

“I call on you to exercise the power of your offices to evaluate steps you can take to address these constitutional violations this Congress and, if possible, refuse to seat in the 117th Congress any Members-elect seeking to make Donald Trump an unelected dictator,” he said.
