Texas GOP Chair Responds to SCOTUS Ruling, Suggests Possible Succession

"The Texas GOP will always stand for the Constitution and for the rule of law even while others don't."

If you haven’t already heard, the Supreme Court has rejected the case that Texas filed against four swing states that went to Joe Biden.

In response, Texas Republican Party Chairman Allen West suggested the formation of a union of “law-abiding states” to abide by the Constitution.

Democrats are furious over his comments, and are suddenly citing the Constitution that they love to stomp on until it suits them.

Some Republicans are at wits end, and aren’t shying away from the idea of sucession.

Only time will tell just how much more they’re willing to take.

Our friends at The Blaze have the scoop:

Allen West, the chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, suggested Friday that some states secede from the United States in reaction to the U.S. Supreme Court turning down his state's lawsuit seeking to overturn election results in four other states.

What are the details?

West, a former Florida congressman, issued a statement, saying:

"The Supreme Court, in tossing the Texas lawsuit that was joined by seventeen states and 106 US congressman (sic), have decreed that a state can take unconstitutional actions and violate its own election law. Resulting in damaging effects on other states that abide by the law, while the guilty state suffers no consequences. This decision establishes a precedent that says states can violate the US constitution and not be held accountable. This decision will have far reaching ramifications for the future or our constitutional republic. Perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution."

He added, "The Texas GOP will always stand for the Constitution and for the rule of law even while others don't."

The Washington Examiner with more:

The Texas Republican Party chairman released a statement that all but calls for the state to secede from the Union immediately.

The statement was released after the Supreme Court rejected a Texas challenge to President-elect Joe Biden's wins in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

"The Supreme Court, in tossing the Texas lawsuit that was joined by seventeen states and 106 US congressmen, have decreed that a state can take unconstitutional actions and violate its own election law. Resulting in damaging effects on other states that abide by the law, while the guilty state suffers no consequences. This decision establishes a precedent that says states can violate the US constitution and not be held accountable," the statement reads.

Naturally, Democrats are pretending to be outraged over the comments...

They have a lot of nerve, considering they have already disgraced the Constitution and the country one hundred times over.

The Democrats have continuously gotten away with murder for years.

It's natural that the American people are sick of it.

Doing things "the right way" hasn't worked.

While Republicans cling to their rules, Democrats lie, cheat, and steal all in the name of keeping power for themselves.

One has to wonder just how much further conservatives can be pushed before biting back.
