Did You Know GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel Is Mitt Romney’s Niece?

I’ve always had a funny feeling about Ronna McDaniel.

Never quite trusted her.

Now I know why.

I like to think I keep up on the news more than the average person, but for some reason I never knew this.

Did you?

From Laura Loomer:

Why is a member of the Romney family in charge of the RNC? I’m sure there are more qualified and capable people for the position of GOP chairwoman than Ronna Romney who has spent the last few years doing nothing about voter fraud and big tech censorship. I wish more Republicans and Republican candidates had the balls to say this, but everyone wants to get invited to the Christmas parties. Good thing I don’t like parties.

It’s incredible to me how many people don’t know that Ronna Romney McDaniel is Mitt Romney’s niece. The head of the RNC is a blood relative of Mitt Romney. She stopped using the name Romney because Trump asked her to. That is a fact. Here’s an article from 2017 so you can see for yourself.

The Hill confirmed the blood relationship back in 2017, take a look:

President Trump asked current Republican National Committee (RNC) head Ronna Romney McDaniel if she would be willing to stop using her middle name publicly before she became chairwoman, according to The Washington Post.

The report comes amid revelations that the president is encouraging Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) to run for reelection as a means of blocking former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney from running for the seat.

McDaniel, who is Romney’s niece, has used the family name for much of her career, however, she appears to have stopped using it in party communications as of late.

The RNC dismissed the report in a statement to The Hill.

“This is silly, we use both iterations of her name interchangeably,” RNC press secretary Cassie Smedile said.
Before taking her post at the RNC, McDaniel served as the chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party, where her grandfather George Romney was governor.

The Hill has reached out to the White House and the RNC for comment.

The president and Romney have had a fraught history.

Trump endorsed Romney for president in 2012, however Romney proved to be one of Trump’s most vocal GOP critics during the 2016 campaign, calling him a “phony” and a “fraud.”
