Bill Gates: Parler Is Great If Your Looking For “Holocaust Denial” and “Crazy Stuff”

Bill Gates seems to give his unwanted opinion on everything.

This time Gates bashed the new social media platform that many conservatives have flocked to, due to the recent censorship of conservatives on Twitter and Facebook.

He was quoted saying if somebody goes on Parler it means they “like crazy stuff”.

Gates even went further and said “If you want Holocaust denial, hey, Parler is going to be great for you,”

Bill Gates couldn’t be any more wrong.

Many Republicans are heading to Parler not because they like “crazy stuff” but rather they are against censorship.

CNBC covered Gate’s comments about Parler and shared these details:

Post-election, many conservatives, and some extremists, have been heading to Parler, a conservative social media app funded by Republican megadonor Rebekah Mercer, which bills itself as a free speech Twitter-spin off.

But billionaire Bill Gates isn’t a fan of the platform, calling some of its content “crazy stuff.”

If somebody goes to Parler, they are saying, “I like crazy stuff,” Gates said Tuesday at The New York Times DealBook Summit. “If you want Holocaust denial, hey, Parler is going to be great for you,” Gates said.

Parler, which was founded by Mercer, John Matze and Jared Thomson in 2018, was the most downloaded app for both Android and iPhone users during the week of Nov. 9 to Nov. 15, according to SensorTower, a marketing intelligence company that tracks app downloads. For the week starting on Nov. 16, Parler has so far fallen to No. 2 among Android users and No. 11 among iPhone users.

Newsweek chipped in too:

ill Gates criticised the “free speech” social media platform Parler this week by saying it will be a “great” place for Holocaust deniers.

The billionaire Microsoft co-founder said Tuesday that content uploaded to the up-and-coming platform includes “crazy stuff” and suggested that it would attract social media users who are too extreme for mainstream sites like Facebook or Twitter.

“If you want Holocaust denial, hey, Parler is going to be great for you,” Gates said while speaking at the virtual The New York Times DealBook Summit, CNBC reported.

Increasingly popular with right wing politicians, commentators and personalities, Parler is an Twitter-like app that claims not to censor the views of its users.

If Gates is condemning a company, they must be doing something right.
