The best way to learn about the downfalls of socialism is by talking to someone who lived through them.
Republican Victoria Spartz won the race for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District and won the swing district primarily by detailing her upbringing in Soviet Ukraine.
During an interview on FOX News, Spartz had this to say in regards to the Democrat Party’s budding love affair with socialism:
She describes how every country that tried socialism failed and created destruction and misery.
Western Journal detailed more of Spartz’s commentary and how it relates to the Democrat Party:
“And now, I came to America 20 years ago with a suitcase after meeting my husband on a train in Europe, and he’s a raised and born Hoosier,” Spartz continued.
“And now we’re building socialism. I’m kind of going full circles. I can tell you what is going to be next. It’s very sad for me to see that.”
She said that “as a mother of two daughters, it made me get involved and do something about it, because it’s not very good for our country.”
But that’s just the party’s left wing, right? That’s the corner occupied by “the Squad,” the Justice Democrats and their followers. Moderates and lukewarm Democrats who voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris — they’re not cosigning that, right?
Her opponent, Christina Hale, campaigned as a moderate-Democrat but radical slogans this election cycle from the party’s far-left corner didn’t resonate with voters.
Defund the police.
Green New Deal.
These and other radical progressive proposals have drifted the Democrat Party further and further to the left.
And across America, voters are rejecting Socialist ideas.
It has led to record number of Republican women being elected to Congress.
GOP women sounded the alarm in 2018 when just a single new Republican woman was elected to the House of Representatives.
This year, Republican women have broken their party’s record, and will be sending a historic number of women to the House. https://t.co/F6k3EouAzv

And to combat “The Squad” and their progressive platform, Spartz appears to be joining a new coalition.
“The Freedom Squad!”
I’m proud to serve with @NMalliotakis, @MaElviraSalazar, & @Victoria_Spartz. We know what socialism does to a nation — we escaped it. We’ll fight for freedom, the American dream & opportunity every single day.https://t.co/BYo7DttN2r

Each group member comes from families that fled Communist and Socialist countries.
Their mission is to prevent America from suffering the same fate.
