Sidney Powell, the attorney for Michael Flynn, the retired United States Army lieutenant general who was the 25th National Security Advisor for the first 22 days of President Donald Trump’s administration, said in an interview to Fox News that she has “staggering” statistical evidence and testimony to show how Dominion voting machines altered ballots. This deception stems back to Venezuela, Cuba and China. Then, she said, “I’m going to release the Kraken,” a phrase that immediately started to trend on Twitter.

What is the Kraken?

The Kraken is a legendary cephalopod-like sea monster of gigantic size in Scandinavian folklore. According to the Norse sagas, the Kraken dwells off the coasts of Norway and Greenland and terrorizes nearby sailors. Authors over the years have postulated that the legend may have originated from sightings of giant squids that may grow to 13–15 meters in length. The creature has appeared in numerous films like ‘Under the Seas’, 1981’s ‘ Clash of the Titans’, ‘The Lego Batman Movie’, ‘It Came from Beneath the Sea’, ‘Jack the Giant Killer’, ‘Atlantis: Milo’s Return’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’, and ‘Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation’
