President Donald Trump has once again said what we've all been thinking.
ENOUGH with these Covid-19 fearmongers and Dr. Anthony Fauci, their pandemic Messiah.
In a call with his campaign staff, Donald Trump pointed to Fauci's many failed public policies and constant waffling on the virus response.
From USA Today:
President Donald Trump blasted Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's top infectious disease expert, as a "disaster" on Monday, a day after Fauci said in an interview that it came as no shock to him when the president tested positive for COVID-19 because Trump regularly eschewed the use of masks "as a statement of strength."
During a conference call with his campaign staff on Monday, Trump said Fauci drops a "bomb" every time he goes on television, but it would be "a bigger bomb if you fire him. This guy's a disaster."
Trump added that people don't want to hear about the pandemic and are saying "just leave us alone" to public health experts like Fauci, who has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984.
"People are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots," Trump said.
Later Monday, the president also posted a tweet criticizing Fauci.
A day earlier, Fauci had been asked in a CBS News "60 Minutes" interview if he was surprised the president contracted the coronavirus.
"Absolutely not," Fauci replied.
"I was worried that he was going to get sick when I saw him in a completely precarious situation of crowded – no separation between people, and almost nobody wearing a mask," he said, referring to the White House Rose Garden event where Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. "When I saw that on TV, I said, 'Oh my goodness. Nothing good can come outta that, that's gotta be a problem.' And then, sure enough, it turned out to be a superspreader event."
Somehow, Dr. Fauci on 60 Minutes in March seems to have a completely different view of masks than Dr. Fauci on 60 Minutes last night.
What's changed?
Well for one, the virus has transformed into a political phenomenon and the only weapon the Left has remaining to try and tear Trump down.
Something the President is keenly aware of.
From Fox News:
"I have a list of 15 things about this guy and yet we keep him," Trump said. "Every time he goes on TV, there's a bomb, but there's a bigger bomb if you fire him."
The president, just hours after the phone call, tweeted: "Dr. Tony Fauci says we don’t allow him to do television, and yet I saw him last night on @60Minutes, and he seems to get more airtime than anybody since the late, great, Bob Hope. All I ask of Tony is that he make better decisions. He said “no masks & let China in”. Also, Bad arm!"
The president added: "P.S. Tony should stop wearing the Washington Nationals’ Mask for two reasons. Number one, it is not up to the high standards that he should be exposing. Number two, it keeps reminding me that Tony threw out perhaps the worst first pitch in the history of Baseball!"
Monday wasn't the first time the president hit Fauci for his pitching abilities. Last week, the president said Fauci's “pitching arm” is “far more accurate than his prognostications,” as the World Health Organization shifted its stance and began warning against lockdowns to combat the coronavirus pandemic."
The President is right.
People ARE sick and tired of Fauci and government officials attempting to control every aspect of our lives.
Just the other day this hack told people not to make Thanksgiving plans.
Everything the President or a Republican does is a "super spreader event."
But Fauci & Co. are mum when thousands flood in front of the Staples Center to celebrate the Lakers, or the Women's March, or just about every riot we've ever had.
It's time to send Fauci packing and his Orwellian groups of hacks in the media with him.
