An ABC/Washington Post poll is showing President Donald Trump is trailing challenger Joe Biden by 12 points.
Is it time to panic for Trump voters, or is anyone else getting a sense of deja vu?
I seem to remember something like this happening a few years ago, maybe even 4.
That’s right, it was 2016!
Polls then showed that Hillary Clinton was guaranteed to be our next president.
What happened again?
Luckily, President Trump took to Twitter to remind us all just what happened!
Now, he says an even bigger win than 2016 is coming!
President Trump certainly has reason to be optimistic!
Here's USA Today with the new poll showing Biden with a 12-point lead:
Former Vice President Joe Biden holds a 12-percentage-point advantage over President Donald Trump, according to a ABC News/Washington Post poll.
The poll, conducted Oct. 6-9, has Biden up 53%-41% among registered voters and 54%-42% among likely voters.
Biden's lead appears largely a result of voter's negative opinion of Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Fifty-eight percent disapproved of how Trump has handled the virus, while 73% said they were concerned about themselves or an immediate family member contracting the virus, the highest number since the outbreak began.
The findings are among a string of polls showing Biden with a strong lead ahead of the November election. The RealClearPolitics polling average shows Biden with a 9.8-point lead, while FiveThirtyEight gives Biden an average 10.3-point advantage.
The poll found Biden with a 69%-25% lead with moderate voters, potentially the strongest polling a Democratic candidate has held among independents since 1988 exit polls.
Notably, that success with independents was not enough to give then-Democratic nominee Michael Dukakis a victory. The polling is also not definitive; Hillary Clinton held a 12-point lead over Trump nationally in an ABC/Post poll on Oct. 22, 2016, even closer to the election.
While the silent majority quietly waits to vote, the fake news media is already making the exact mistakes they made in 2016, and then some!
CNN just released a story about how Biden is polling better than any challenger since 1936.
Look at the arrogance on display from CNN with this story:
Former Vice President Joe Biden is dominating President Donald Trump in the latest polls. No, the election is not over yet, and Trump still has a non-negligible chance of winning.
But a look through history reveals that Biden is in a better position at this point than any challenger since 1936, when the first scientific polls were taken in a presidential race.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Sunday was the latest poll to indicate Biden's strength. Biden led Trump by a 55% to 43% margin among likely voters. The poll was the third high quality national poll published this week that had Biden up by at least 10 points and above 50%. The other two being from CNN/SSRS and Fox News.
Indeed, the average of polls has Biden at around 52% or 53% and up by somewhere between 10 and 11 points. This is an unprecedented position for a challenger with a mere 23 days to go until Election Day.
In the 21 previous presidential elections since 1936, there have only been five challengers who led at this time. Of those five, only one (Bill Clinton in 1992) was ahead by more than 5 points. None of those five were earning more than 48% of the vote in the polls.
In other words, Biden is the first challenger to be above 50% at this late juncture in the campaign.
This also continues to mark a massive difference with the 2016 campaign. While Hillary Clinton was ahead of Trump by as high as 7 points in October 2016, she never came anywhere close to approaching 50% of the vote. Trump merely had to win the lionshare of the undecided or third party voters (who would bolt their candidate) to earn a victory in 2016.
Remember those great videos that we all watched on Youtube after the 2016 election?
You know, the ones with all the left-wing media nuts slowly coming to the realization that their beloved candidate who was supposed to win easily, was actually well on her way to losing?
I can't wait to see the media reaction we see for 2020!
