Two football players one a son of a cop and one a son of a firefighter are no longer suspended from the football team after they ran onto the field carrying a “thin blue line” flag and a “thin red line” flag.
Before Little Miami’s game on Sept. 11, defensive back Brady Williams and linebacker Jared Bentley showed their patriotism by running onto the field carrying pro-firefighters and pro-police flags.
The Little Miami School District decided to suspend the boys for carrying these flags on the field after they were told not to bring them out on the field.
That suspension has been lifted after a public outcry.

Two Little Miami football players pay the price for civil disobedience. They were told not to carry onto the field thin blue line and thin red line flags at their 9/11 game. They did anyway. The school has now suspended them from the team indefinitely. #ThinBlueLine #ThinRedLine pic.twitter.com/19y9GAvaxr

Cincinnati Enquirer reported these details:
Two Little Miami High School football players are no longer suspended from the football team after they ran onto the field carrying a “thin blue line” flag and a “thin red line” flag.
Before Little Miami’s game on Sept. 11, cornerback Brady Williams and linebacker Jared Bentley ran onto the field carrying these flags.
In a message from the Little Miami Board of Education obtained by The Enquirer, Little Miami school board president Bobbie Grice said the players have returned to active status after initially being suspended from the team.
“The results show that there were no political motivations behind this display of support for first responders on 9/11, but there were stances of insubordination,” Grice said. “Moving forward, Little Miami is returning the players to active status and this matter will be addressed as an Athletic Department Code of Conduct issue, with any potential consequences to be handled by coaching staff.”
It's outrageous that these students were punished for celebrating our amazing police officers. They showed real courage standing up for what they thought was right.
Does anyone think @LM_Schools would have suspended them if they came out with BLM flags???#BlueLivesMatter https://t.co/SLERkkBHu3

WLWT5 had this to add to the story:
Two football players at Little Miami High School have been placed back on active status after being suspended from practice for carrying a “thin blue line” flag and “thin red line” flag across the field before their game on Sept. 11.
School officials said in a statement Tuesday the students did not get permission from district officials to carry the flags on the field and that’s why they were suspended from practice while they investigated the incident.
“School administrators must act when students break the rules, and these students were suspended from practice while the incident was investigated,” Little Miami Local School Board of Education President Bobbie Grice said in a statement Tuesday.
The Little Miami School District should be ashamed of themselves.
They literally suspended players on September 11th for carrying pro-police and pro-firefighter flags.
At least they made things right but the District exposed their true colors.
I agree with Donald Trump Jr. if these players carried a BLM flag onto the field they probably would have never been suspended in the first place.
