The endorsements just keep on pouring in!
President Donald Trump is the president of Law & Order, and he has the backing of the police to prove it.
The police union in Chicago, a heavily democrat-controlled city has officially endorsed President Trump for re-election.
Here's the story from the Washington Examiner:
The Fraternal Order of Police in Chicago endorsed President Trump for reelection.
“I will do whatever I can for him — clearly,” the FOP president of the local chapter, John Catanzara, told the Chicago Tribune of Trump. “I hope he makes a somewhat local appearance — that he doesn’t think Illinois is a lost cause and will just kind of mail it in.”
The police union’s board voted to endorse Trump last week, which is an overall reflection of how the union’s members feel about the president, though Catanzara said some in Democrat-controlled Chicago won’t be happy with the decision.
“But there’s definitely people who are not going to be happy about it. There are more Democrats, locally speaking, but there’s even some Democrats who would agree that the current president has been very good for employment and law enforcement these days,” he said.
The National Fraternal Order of Police endorsed the president earlier this summer, so have other police unions in places such as New York and Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware.
Democrats have completely alienated themselves from law enforcement, and have instead embraced the radical anti-police wing of their base.
It should be no surprise that the Democrats have so little support from the police.
Democrats have continualy led battle cries of "defund the police" and "police are racist."
As Lindsey Graham correctly pointed out to Fox News, President Trump has been the strongest voice of support for police:
“The strongest voice in America for the law enforcement community is President Trump,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Tuesday.
“In his convention, he showcased the cops, victims of crime, family members who had lost their loved ones serving as a police officer,” the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee told “Hannity.”
Graham noted that the current period in American history is a “dangerous time to be a cop.”
“Criminals have no fear, liberal prosecutors and politicians have no respect for the police. God bless you, Donald Trump. Law and order are on the ballot and we’re going to kick their ass for the men and women in blue,” Graham said.
Graham reacted to the Chicago Police Department confirming to Fox News the existence of an intelligence alert reportedly sent out by the FBI warning area law enforcement of a pact among street gangs “to 'shoot on-sight any cop that has a weapon drawn on any subject in public'."
The "Potential Activity Alert" from FBI officials was sent out Aug. 26, according to ABC7, which says it has obtained a copy of it.
“We have been made aware of this threat by a law enforcement partner,” a Chicago police spokesperson told Fox News on Tuesday. “The Chicago Police Department takes all threats against officer safety seriously and we will take all necessary measures to safeguard our officers.”
Here's to four more years!
