CSPAN Callers Destroy Brian Stelter on Live TV: “CNN is the Enemy of the People”

We can't stop laughing!

Brian Stelter decided to step outside of his bubble at CNN.

He made a guest appearance at CSPAN, where viewers were allowed to call into the program.

Well…

It didn't go so well for Brian Stelter…

LOL!

In fact, things got so bad that CSPAN appeared to "glitch" — or perhaps even purposefully cut off the feed.

It was difficult to tell what happened.

But one thing is certain: people are not happy with CNN or Brian Stelter.

In fact, one of the callers even slammed CNN as "the enemy of the people."

The Blaze compiled a video of some of the calls to CPSAN.

Watch below:

It's not surprising that Stelter got hammered by viewers.

CNN is continues to perform worse and worse in the ratings.

However, Stelter did ADMIT that most journalists have "liberal leanings."

Fox News has more details:

CNN’s in-house media pundit Brian Stelter was confronted by a C-SPAN caller on Tuesday who told him the liberal network is “dividing our nation” and called CNN the “enemy of the truth.”

Stelter joined C-SPAN's “Washington Journal” to answer questions from viewers when a caller from Minnesota accused CNN of committing over 300,000 “distortions of truth” since President Donald Trump took office.

“You guys always talk about how many times Trump has lied, I’ve calculated and, I think with your chyrons... I don’t know if there are any journalists left at CNN but I know that, if I were to estimate, about 300 different distortions or misinformation that we get out of CNN,” the caller said. “And you have to watch them in the airport, which is harsh, but if you added all that up to 46 months, it comes out to be 300,000-plus distortions of truth.”

The caller then evoked Nick Sandmann, who famously settled a multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit with CNN.

“You defamed a child,” the caller said, adding that CNN is “dividing our nation” with partisan coverage.

“And I don’t believe in dividing our nation, it hurts our great nation, and, so CNN is really the enemy of the truth,” the caller said. “That’s my opinion, thank you.”

Stelter, who seemed to be used to such feedback and has been labeled media’s “hall monitor” by critics in the past, said he was grateful for the call.

“I know you’re not the only person that feels this way,” Stelter said. “There has been a process of radicalization that’s happened in this country with media bashing that is absolutely unprecedented.”

Stelter then said that many journalists live in big cities and have “liberal leanings,” but newsrooms should ensure that “bias doesn’t seep into the news coverage.”

It would be one thing if this call happened on talk radio or a conservative leaning outlet.

However, CSPAN isn't viewed as leaning either conservative or liberal.

Though... it is perceived by some that it is preferred by Democrats.

So you know things are bad if CSPAN callers are roasting Stelter on air!

Fortunately, we have the internet and social media, so people no longer have to rely on the mainstream media for "news."

Over the last few years, CNN's rankings have continued to tank.

Conservative websites, on the other hand, have continued to gain popularity and attract more traffic.

"Reporters" like Brian Stelter are why people want alternative news sources!

The Washington Examiner confirms the brutal phone call:

Appearing on C-SPAN's Washington Journal, two separate callers criticized Brian Stelter, decrying his anti-Trump obsession and accusing his home network of obfuscating the news cycle. One caller from Minnesota said Stelter's new book, Hoax, is propaganda that would be used to divide the nation during unprecedented levels of tension across the political aisle.

"I don't know if there's any journalists left at CNN, but I know that if I were to estimate about 300 different distortions or misinformation that we get out of CNN ... if you added all that up to 46 months, it comes out to be 300,000-plus distortions of truth," the caller said. "This is how low you'll go is that you went out, and you made lies, and you defamed a child, and then, you had to settle out of court to pay this child for distorting information about this young individual."

"So, I would say, you know, if anything is happening at CNN and anybody who buys your book, it's really just one of those things that is dividing our nation," the man continued. "I don't believe in dividing our nation, it hurts our great nation, so, CNN is really the enemy of the truth."

Stelter said that he was "grateful" for the caller's criticism before pivoting and saying that "there's been a process of radicalization of media bashing that is absolutely unprecedented," although he did not provide evidence of his claim.

Another caller poked fun at Stelter's appearance, calling him "Humpty Dumpty" and attacking CNN's credibility as a news network.

"There's a couple comments, one about their chyrons that they put underneath while people are watching things, like the other day they put on 'Fiery but mostly peaceful protests,'" said the caller. "Yeah, laugh there, Humpty Dumpty, we all know you're not reliable. You're nothing but a stooge."

The caller was referencing a now-viral image from August's riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during which a CNN reporter stood in front of burning buildings while the network's chyron read, "Fiery but mostly peaceful protests."

Perhaps Stelter and his CNN colleagues should leave their bubbles to learn more about the world and how actual American voters think and feel.

They should learn to report the news... not attempt to shape it!
