CNN Mocked for Airing “Peaceful Protests” Banner with Fires Burning in the Background

Does fake news CNN really think that we the people are that stupid?

For months, the mainstream media has been pushing the narrative of "peaceful protests."

But CNN has taken the level of media gaslighting to a whole new level.

On screen, CNN displayed a banner (chyron) that read:

Fiery but mostly peaceful protests after police shooting.

But literally on the screen, we saw fire, descruction, and looting from rioters.

You can't make this stuff up!

See the incredibly dishonest segment below:

Just a few months ago, MSNBC did the same thing when riots hit Minneapolis.

Does the media really think that people won't trust what they see with their own two eyes?!

The New York Post was one of the first to report that CNN is being brutally mocked online:

CNN is getting roasted for describing protests in Wisconsin as “fiery but mostly peaceful” during a live broadcast — that showed a building fully engulfed in flames Wednesday night.

The chyron “FIERY BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS AFTER POLICE SHOOTING” appeared on screen as CNN reporter Omar Jimenez delivered a live report in Kenosha.

“What you’re seeing behind me is one of multiple locations that have been burning in Kenosha, Wisconsin, over the course of the night,” Jimenez said, with a gas mask around his neck.

He went on to note that the daytime protests were “largely peaceful” but took a violent turn at night.

“It wasn’t until night fell that things began to get a little bit more contentious. Things were thrown back and forth. Police started using some of those crowd dispersal tactics like tear gas, even playing very loud sounds to push them out,” Jimenez said.

The clip was ripped on social media, including by Eric Trump, who tweeted, “Unbelievable. @CNN is a total embarrassment to our country!” and GOP rapid response director Steve Guest, who also posted the video.

Remember, there is a reason that President Trump calls them fake news!

See a sample of the social media commentary below.

If the media can't be honest about what's happening in burning cities, how can we trust what they report when it comes to politics?

While people know the media is biased, they might not understand the degree to which the media appears to be attempting to gaslight us.

The Hill confirms CNN's ridiculous chyron:

CNN was ridiculed  for a video caption Wednesday night that read "Fiery But Mostly Peaceful Protests After Police Shooting" during a report from national correspondent Omar Jimenez in front of a building engulfed in flames during protests over the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wis.

Jimenez reported that the daylight protests "were largely peaceful," but the situation quickly changed at night.

"What you are seeing now, these images, came and come in stark contrast to what we saw over the course of the daytime hours in Kenosha and into the early evening, which were largely peaceful demonstrations in the face of law enforcement,” Jimenez said.

“It wasn’t until nightfall that things began to get a little bit more contentious. Thing were thrown back and forth; police started using some of those crowd dispersal tactics like tear gas, even playing very loud sounds to push them out," he continued. "And then, what you’re seeing, the common theme that ties all of this together, is an expression of anger and frustration over what people feel like has become an all too familiar story playing out in places from across the country, not just here in Kenosha, Wis.”

Ridicule quickly followed on social media, including from Eric Trump and GOP rapid response director Steve Guest.

Hopefully more voters wake up to the fake news and their antics.

It's time that people begin looking at President Trump and his accomplishments as well as policy proposals.

Stop listening to the mainstream media!
