CANCELED: 9/11 Tribute Lights Honoring Victims Will Not Happen Because of “Health Risk”

So much for "Never Forget."

Even though Democrats and their allies encouraged mass BLM protests…

Even though many prominent figures attend George Floyd memorial services…

Even though the swamp was allowed to attend the service for John Lewis…

The 9/11 tribute lights honoring victims of will be canceled because of the "health risk" it poses.

Really?

Lights shining into the sky pose a health risk?!

The real risk comes at the expense of erasing history and failing to commemorate the most tragic terrorist attack that our nation has ever faced!

Heroes died that day — and many more innocent victims lost their lives!

Yet, the tribute must be canceled because of the novel coronavirus.

More details on this terrible decision below:

How can Democrats allow mass protests in the streets?!

And then those same Democrats say that shining lights into the sky to pay tribute to lives lost on 9/11 is a "health risk"?!

American people, please wake up!

According to the NY Daily News:

The twin beams of light that pierce the sky to commemorate the loss of life and destruction of the Twin Towers in 2001 will not shine this year because of coronavirus concerns.

The 9/11 Memorial announced Thursday that the Tribute in Light, which typically shines every year to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, will go dark.

“This incredibly difficult decision was reached in consultation with our partners after concluding the health risks during the pandemic were far too great for the large crew required to produce the annual Tribute in Light,” 9/11 Memorial officials said in a statement on the memorial’s website.

Instead, several buildings across the city will light their spires and facades in blue as part of a “Tribute of Lights.”

The two beacons typically shine from dusk Sept. 11 to dawn Sept. 12 from the roof of the Battery Parking Garage on Morris St.

The beams are made up of 88 enormous lights from the company Space Cannon, which are assembled to represent the two footprints of the towers. Each Space Cannon light is about the size of a refrigerator and requires 8,000 watts.

The annual reading of the Sept. 11 victim’s names has also been cancelled this year.

Fortunately, it appears the public response has mostly been one of anger.

People are not happy of the decisions being made by New York's leadership.

Bill de Blasio made the announcement less than 2.5 months after he seemingly allowed BLM protesters to destroy the city.

Rioters spread across NYC and other major cities.

Yet... apparently, according to Democrats, the real "health risk" is the 9/11 lights tribute.

Give us a break!

The Blaze confirms:

Instead of the massive light beams shining symbolically where the Twin Towers once stood, the museum said "many iconic New York City buildings will be lighting their spires and facades in blue to honor those killed on 9/11."

Folks on social media expressed outrage over the decision.

Conservative talk show host Larry O'Connor tweeted, "Give me a f*****g break! There was no fear for the workers used to paint a BLM mural at Trump Tower! NYC makes their priorities known. Duly noted."

Someone else wrote, "So much for 'never forget,'" while another replied, "It takes about 40 people to set up those lights. I would volunteer without hesitation to do this. I'm sure thousands would. Do not make the sky over Manhattan be dark. We need the light."

One person pointed out, "NYC schools will be opening in September 9th, 9/11 Light Installation cancelled over COVID 19 fear. Do you see who is the @NYCMayor?"

"Call it a protest," somebody suggested.

"First, they cancelled the reading of names. Now they can't even put the lights up in commemoration," another person tweeted. "This is completely dishonorable and disgraceful. I'm ashamed to be from this city right now."

According to the New York Post, the museum had already "scrapped the in-person reading of 9/11 victims at the annual Ground Zero ceremony."

However, the outlet noted, "last week, a nonprofit, The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, announced their own separate Lower Manhattan ceremony where select family members of 9/11 victims will be permitted to read the names of their loved ones."

It's always darkest before the dawn.

Hopefully more and more patriots are waking up and realizing that we must elect MORE conservatives to help Donald Trump fight against the swamp!
