Lately, it seems as if big tech companies in Silicon Valley are trying to dictate what we can say and what we can’t say.

Facebook and Twitter have once again expressed their bias views and censored Donald Trump for allegedly spreading misinformation through his video about COVID and its impact on children.

Fox News had this to say about the removal of the President’s Facebook and Twitter posts:

Facebook and Twitter are both taking action after a video shared by President Trump they say contains misinformation about the coronavirus.

“This video includes false claims that a group of people is immune from COVID-19 which is a violation of our policies around harmful COVID misinformation,” Facebook spokesperson Liz Bourgeois told Fox News in a statement.

In the removed video, the president told Fox & Friends that schools should remain open.

“My view is that schools should be open,” Trump said. “If you look at children, children are almost — and I would almost say definitely — but almost immune from this disease.”

He added that children have “much stronger immune systems” and “just don’t have a problem.”

According to Facebook, this is the first time the social media platform has taken down a post from the president regarding misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic.

The move comes as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has faced increased scrutiny to crack down on misinformation since the 2016 election, with a long list of companies that have threatened to pull advertising on the platform.

CBS News reported this about the removal of the posts:

Facebook and Twitter announced Wednesday that they have removed a video of President Trump shared on his Facebook page and Twitter account because it contained “false claims” about the coronavirus. The video was a clip of a phone interview Mr. Trump did with Fox News on Wednesday morning in which he pushed for schools to reopen for in-person learning and falsely claimed children are “almost immune” to the virus.

“This video includes false claims that a group of people is immune from COVID-19 which is a violation of our policies around harmful COVID misinformation,” a spokesperson for Facebook said.

A Twitter spokesperson also confirmed the video “is in violation of the Twitter Rules on COVID-19 misinformation,” and added that @TeamTrump, the official Twitter account for Mr. Trump’s campaign, would not be able to tweet again until they delete the tweet with the video. In the clip, which was tweeted by the Trump campaign and shared on Mr. Trump’s personal Twitter account, the president repeated his demand that schools reopen in the fall.

Here is  an overview of the video that was removed from President Trump’s Facebook and Twitter:

As the election is coming full speed ahead, it looks like President Trump will be continually attacked and censored.

While the Democratic Party will continue to boast about leading mysterious misleading polls.
