Two Are Shot in Seattle CHOP Zone During Mayor Jenny’s Summer of Love

Police were called to respond to shootings in the Seattle protest zone, which left 1 dead and another critically injured

It looks like Mayor Jenny’s “Summer of Love” is over before it started.

It took a few years and the brilliant idea to use the Hells Angels for concert security before the Hippies went the way of the dinosaur.

How long will the autonomous republic formerly known as CHAZ last, now that they have their first reported murder on the books?

Per Reuters:

Seattle police on Saturday said they were investigating the fatal shooting of one person and wounding of another in a part of the city occupied by activists protesting against police brutality and racial inequality across America.

The Seattle Police Department said it was investigating a shooting at 10th Avenue and East Pine inside the Capital Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) area, which has been occupied by activists without any known police presence since June 8, when Seattle police abandoned the East Precinct located there.

The police said they responded to a report of shots fired in Cal Anderson Park at about 2:30 a.m. PDT (0930 GMT) only to learn that two male victims had already been moved to Harborview Medical Center by CHOP medics.”

CHOP medics…did they go to the CHAZ School of Medicine?

While the shooting has been reported by multiple news outlets, one voice that has stunningly stayed silent on the attack is Mayor Jenny herself.

Not that she hasn’t had plenty to say until now:

What a joke.

She's allowed part of her city to be hostally taken over by masked thugs and has the audacity to call them peaceful protestors.

The idea of public health in CHOP looks like vagabonds wallowing in an open trash heap.

CHOP couldn't be further from a model of justice.

In fact, police weren't even able to get into the area once the shooting was reported, according toTime:

The suspected shooter fled the scene and has not been identified, the police said. No potential motive was given.

Police said in their statement that officers “attempted to locate a shooting victim but were met by a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims.”

However, Omari Salisbury, an independent journalist who was covering the CHOP Friday night, tells TIME he saw CHOP medics evacuate the first victim before the SPD had reached the crime scene. Salisbury also live streamed his coverage of the shooting."

The CHOP Zone in Seattle has absolutely no transparency, nor accountability.

Its treatment in the media thus far has been an absolute sham.

Despite the fact that emergency personel were obstructed upon entering the zone, we are now expected to take word of mouth explanations of the violence in CHOP without any proper investigation or due diligence.

But one local Seattle politician is already pointing their finger at the alleged culprits, per MYNorthwest:

Seattle Councilmember Kshama Sawant released a statement Saturday afternoon about the shooting. Read her full statement below.

Our deepest condolences go out to the loved ones of the black protester who was tragically killed this morning by gunfire at the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP). Socialist Alternative and I stand in solidarity with the family and friends of the victim, and with the injured protester now in the hospital, as well as with all community members and fellow activists.

Though we await confirmation of the details of the killing, there are indications that this may have been a right-wing attack. If so, this would not be the first such attack on the Capitol Hill Black Lives Matter protest. As many recall, an armed man drove into the protest action on June 8, and shot black activist Dan Gregory, who had heroically intervened to stop the driver.

We need immediate solidarity with the protest at the CHOP, and unity in our movement against reactionary violence. Our movement refuses to be intimidated."

So police must conduct a thorough investigation, but can't even get to the crime scene because the violent mob preventing their work?

Convenient that the right is already getting fingered for the crime by the CHOP people and evidently we're just supposed to sit back and take their word for it.

It's time to end the disgrace going on in Seattle.

Mayor Jenny must act now before violence starts spreading beyond the circus on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

Or she must be removed from office immediately before her negligence kills more people.

Maybe someone will finally take the President up on his offer:
