Black Rapper Lil Wayne Defends Police, Says Life Was Saved By White Cop

Slowly but surely, more and more Hollywood elite are breaking ranks.

Black rapper Lil Wayne recently came out in DEFENSE of the police, claiming that his life was saved by a white cop!

In the same statement, Lil Wayne also appeared to suggest that the death of George Floyd was not the fault of the police.

Well… not entirely…

Instead, Lil Wayne suggested that black Ameria is to blame as well.

As you can imagine, his comments caused a FIRESTORM online.

Black celebrities continue to break ranks with the narratives of the Democrat establishment.

First, Kanye West came out of the closet to announce his support for Donald Trump.

Now, Lil Wayne says that we need to DEFEND, not defund, the police!

WION reports:

After getting slammed for siding with the police over its brutality that led to the death of a black man named George Floyd, rapper Lil Wayne has doubled down on his support for the cops.

The rapper was earlier slammed for suggesting that the activists were also to blame for the unarmed black man’s tragic death. Now, appearing on the latest episode of ‘Young Money Radio’, Lil Wayne explained how he was saved by a white cop when he was a kid and why he thinks good of them.

He said, “My life was saved when I was young. I was 12 or something, I think. Shot myself. I was saved by a white cop, Uncle Bob. So you have to understand … you have to understand the way I view police, period. I was saved by a white cop. There was a bunch of black cops jumped over me when they saw me at that door, laying on the floor with that hole in my chest. He refused to. He said, ‘I found this baby on this floor. I need to get to a hospital.’ He didn’t wait for an ambulance. He took his car. He made somebody drive it, and he made sure that I lived.”

During the interview, Lil Wayne requested that listeners not judge him for his positive stance on the police.

How sad that he must be afraid to speak his mind!

The media focuses on rare cases of police brutality.

Of course, we should want to bring police brutality down to zero!

But over-exaggerating the brutality by police results in riots and looting that takes more lives and damages more property than police ever will.

But it's not just his friendly stance towards police that is catching people's attention.

Lil Wayne appeared to suggest that black America is to blame for George Floyd's death.

Black Enterprise published a scathing article criticizing Lil Wayne for his comments:

Sounds like Lil’ Wayne is playing “blame the victim.” The rap artist was recently chatting with fellow hip-hop icon Fat Joe on Instagram Live about the murder of George Floyd and the protests.

During the session, Lil Wayne, 46, said Floyd’s tragic death would be blamed on Black America. “If we want to place the blame on anybody, it should be ourselves for not doing more than what we think we’re doing,” he said, according to The Grio.

“I think when we see these situations, I think we also have to understand that we have to get very specific,” Wayne said. “And what I mean by that is we have to stop viewing it with such a broad view, meaning we have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody or a certain race or everybody with a badge.”

Needless to say, Lil’  Wayne words didn’t sit well with some.

The emotional appeal of the protests can certainly be understood.

But as the dust settles, more and more people will understand that these topics are much more nuanced than the media presents.

These are difficult conversations, sure, but true growth requires respect and understanding between all parties involved.
