Bill Maher Regrets Trump’s Impeachment, Says “It Just Emboldened Him”

Apparently Bill Maher just learned that actions have consequences.

In a stunning statement, the far-left Democrat said that he now regrets President Trump's impeachment.

Of course, during the actual impeachment trial, Maher was one of the loudest cheerleaders of the whole thing.

Now that the dust has settled, however, Maher realizes that impeachment was a terrible mistake.

"If I could do it over again, I wouldn't, because it just emboldened him," Maher said in reference to impeachment.

More details below:

The divisive impeachment process had no bi-partisan support, with the exception of Mitt Romney who only voted to convict on just one of the articles.

President Trump is a fighter, and it was clearly that impeachment was a political attack.

Now that Trump has been vindicated, he is fighting with everything he has to win re-election.

Fox News has more details on Bill Maher's impeachment regrets:

"Real Time" host Bill Maher looked back with apparent regret Friday night on the Democratic-led impeachment of President Trump, saying it "turned out to be a horrible thing."

During a conversation with liberal filmmaker Michael Moore, Maher pointed to Trump's recent firings of inspectors general, most recently the ousting of State Department watchdog Steve Linick, and complained the firings got very little media attention amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Moore then pivoted the conversation to the Russia investigation -- claiming Trump "bullied" former Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and insisting Mueller "got scared" and refused to interrogate the president.

Maher, however, brought the conversation back to the Ukraine scandal, which led to Trump's impeachment because the president was accused of withholding foreign aid in hopes of persuading Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

Ironically, the impeachment process may have damaged Joe Biden more than it damaged President Trump.

More Americans now know about Hunter Biden and what appears to be corruption in Ukraine.

In fact, Republicans in the Senate are investigating a PR firm connected to Burisma.

Subpoenas have been approved and any damaging evidence that emerges will certainly have an impact on the November election.

Though Maher now regrets impeachment, many Democrats want to impeach Trump... AGAIN!

In fact, House Democrats have already launched a Mueller-style probe into the Trump adminsitration's handling of the COVID-19 crisis... even as the pandemic continues to rage on!

The Blaze points out that as recently as last month, Maher was cheering on a second impeachment attempt:

Last month, Maher said Trump deserved to be impeached for "favoring" states that "are nice to him" during the coronavirus pandemic.

"I find one of the most galling parts about this is that the president is favoring certain states over the others. Governors who are 'nice' to him, as he calls it, get a lot of attention and all of the equipment they want," Maher told Sen. Bernie Sanders. "To me, this is even more of an impeachable offense than what he did with Ukraine or Russia."

In January 2019, Maher voiced his support for impeaching Trump. "I don't know how we get out of this except by getting him out of office," Maher said. "I wasn't necessarily for impeachment until recently, but I think you have to go ahead and do it."

Also during the latest episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher," leftist filmmaker Michael Moore said the only way Trump will win reelection is if he cheats.

Moore proclaimed that presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden would win the popular vote by five million votes, but added that Trump could still win the Electoral College.

"The only way they are going to pull it off is if he's able to cancel the election or postpone it," Moore said. "That is what we're going to have to fight against because I'm certain that is what is going on in his head right now."

"The only way Republicans can win, and this has been true for a few elections, is to cheat," Moore claimed. "Is to somehow game it, rig it, do whatever they need to do."

Are Democrats so convinced that Joe Biden will lose that they already have to accuse President Trump of "cheating" before he wins?!

The reality is that Trump's record speaks for itself.

He's kept his campaign promises, including the signature promise to build the wall!

Now, he's fighting 24/7 to protect American lives and livelihoods from the COVID-19 pandemic.

He made America great again once, and he can do it again!
