Can you imagine what would happen to you if you didn't pay a tax bill for 7 years?
Well… for AOC, things haven't turned out too bad.
She was elected to Congress and makes $174,000 a year to represent New York's 14th Congressional District.
A new report, however, shows that AOC did pay a $2,000 tax bill from 7 years ago.
She reportedly owes the money from a failed business venture called Book Avenue Press.
It was a publishing house that was meant to portray the Bronx in a new, positive light.
The company failed in 2016.
There was a warrant in 2017 for an unpaid $1,618.36 tax bill.
Due to interest, that unpaid bill comes in at $2,088,78 today.
