New polls reveals cracks emerging in President Trump's approval rating.
While he holds steady with his supporters, many are questioning his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Much of this can be attributed to unfair reporting from the mainstream media.
Now, President Trump is showing the nation that even Democratic governors approve of his handling of the crisis.
CNN reports that even New York Governor Cuomo is featured in Trump's reelection campaign ad, which seeks to appeal to independents and undecided voters:
President Donald Trump's re-election campaign is launching a digital ad that features clips from several Democratic governors praising the President and his administration's response to the coronavirus crisis.
The ad comes as Trump and his allies continue to push back against criticism of his leadership ahead of and during the pandemic. Polls show Americans are increasingly concerned about the federal government's handling of the situation. A Pew Research poll revealed that 65% of respondents feel the President reacted too slowly to the crisis. This new ad splices together statements from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham. In the ad, each governor has something positive to say about Trump himself or the federal government.
Cuomo is featured lauding the work of Trump and his administration.
"His team is on it," Cuomo said. "I know a team when they are on it, and I know a team when they are not on it. His team is on it."
The ad begins and ends with Newsom, who at one point looks at the camera and says "So, conversation, commitment, promise made. Promise kept.""Promises made, promises kept" is a slogan used by the Trump campaign in their pitch to voters.
"In the fight against the coronavirus, the Trump administration is not just taking a whole of government approach, but a whole of America approach," said Sarah Matthews, Trump campaign deputy press secretary, in a statement. "Even Democratic governors recognize President Trump's tireless work to combat the coronavirus and his commitment to protecting all Americans."
The ad will target swing voters in 17 states, including Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, as well as the key swing states of Michigan and Wisconsin. The five figure ad buy will run on Facebook and YouTube.
In November, voters will have a choice between President Trump, who has successfully handled the COVID-19 response, and Joe Biden, who has been hiding in his home and has largely avoided media scrutiny.
Multiple Democratic governors have lavished praise on Trump's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the media will attempt to cover-up the statements, Trump's campaign is planning to run the ad in all of the nation's swing states and "purple" states.
The Blaze confirms the pro-Trump statements made by Democratic governors:
"His team is on it," Cuomo is seen saying in the ad as inspirational music plays in the background. "I know a team when they are on it, and I know a team when they are not on it. His team is on it."
Newsom even uses one of Trump's campaign slogans in a clip featured in the ad: "So, conversation, commitment; promise made, promise kept," the California governor is shown saying."These were just extraordinary efforts and acts of mobilization and the federal government stepped up," Cuomo said in another clip. "We needed help and they were there."
The ad comes as the president faces continued criticism from Democratic lawmakers and members of the mainstream media for his response to the coronavirus pandemic. Yet, as is apparent from the video clips showcased in the ad, some of the most important left-wing political figures amid the pandemic have not always shared that criticism.
As the outbreak ramped up in America, the federal government appeared to be more than up to the task, according to those governors.
Thanks to President Trump, this nation has experience the fastest medical mobilization effort in history.
Predicted ventilator shortages never came to pass, and widespread testing quickly ramped up across the nation.
Furthermore, the mortality rate is much better than expected and on par with the healthiest European nations.
The president said he would keep us safe, and he is staying true to his word.
Promises made, promises kept, indeed!
