Roughly 200 Evangelical Leaders Send Letter To Christianity Today Defending Trump

Nearly 200 evangelical Christian leaders across the nation banded together to write and send a letter to the president of Christianity Today over their recent article calling for President Trump to be removed from office.

In the letter, the leaders condemned the article and stood up both for President Trump and his Christian supporters.

They noted how editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, Mark Galli, who wrote the article arguing for Trump’s removal of office, has in the past snubbed Christian Trump supporters as uneducated “blue-collar workers” while referring to himself as an “elite evangelical.”

The Evangelical leaders who signed the letter then set things straight, stating they are not “far-right” but “Bible-believing Christians” and “patriotic Americans” who believe in the policies of the Trump administration, including protecting the unborn and religious freedom.

They then asked the President of Christianity Today to reveal “who they will support for president among the 2020 Democrat field?” driving their point across that the editorial “not only targeted our President; it also targeted those of us who support him, and have supported you.”
